Wednesday 29th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Hope you are well. Throat stil a little irritated and voice still takes ages to recover each morning.

Rant: Microsoft Vista - analysts say people will upgrade. I say not. There is no point for 99% of us to upgrade. Why bother buying a new PC simply for a new operating system that isnt needed. The current one needs fixing properly. I would rather have Linux as it is free. Not as easy to use but more stable and less liable to hackers.

Yesterday, well I went to work. After waking up in the night with a really sore eye. It was funny feeling all day. As for work we were busy yesterday. Things seem ok at the moment and the one machine isnt stressing me, mind you its usually the envelopes or paper that causes the grief.

Came home, read email had a chat to an ex-gf on AOL. I seemed a bit blank at times. She could have painted on my mind. :) When I think of her I feel a sense of warmth I have never felt before. Hope I get to see her again soon.

I watched an episode of House on DVD called Fidelity, had chips burger and beans for tea. Read a bit for uni. Even cleaned my contact lenses in enzyme cleaner. :) Phew!!! Then I went to bed.

The replacement book turned up but the original one is still nowhere to be seen.

Monday 27th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Hope you are well. Still have a little cough but its almost gone.

I see the England cricket team lost. :( what a pile of tosh. Bring back Vaughan as captain and quick.

As for me today.. well its just work nine to five - quiet day today. Came home. Checked for a parcel - none. Think someone has got it somewhere but havent bothered to send it back. I have emailed Amazon and they will look into it. I have chatted to a friend on AOL, well the only one I have on my contact list. I would like to go out with her again....don't know when we would get the chance too but it would be nice too if she agrees of course. I don't so much find confidence hard, just hard to be optimistic that things would go right.

This friend also managed to sort a slight problem with the computer she has for her sister which she had off me and I missed a slight registration thing. Phew!!!

I have done some studying tonight. Finished a chapter in a book and 4 one page articles. I watched the BBC's technology show Click on the website and watched the Gadget show on Channel 5 while I ate my tea.

This is my blog to share my thoughts with and in the main what I do during the day. Sometimes forget the first bit.

And the website is http://www.swapz.co.uk/ - a website about swapping things. Take a look and let me know what you think and if its any good if you use its services.

Yesterday and today 25th and 26th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Hope you are well. Still a little bit coughing today.

See England are losing in the cricket and the Rugby. Oh well. never mind. I support Wales in the rugby anyway lol.

Yesterday, got up after my usual round of weekend reading. I know I watched an Episode of House called Occam's Razor - where they thought someone had two things wrong. I also if I remember filled in my blogs for the previous couple of days. I walked to ASDA for some food. I then drove to the Uni's Compton Park campus and changed a book. Then I came home. I didnt go out again after that. I did a little studying. I watched Strictly Come Dancing both bits and the lottery. Thats about it unless I watched another episode of House. Cant remember. I did finish an Amateur Photography magazine.

Today. Well I got up after my usual reading. I did learn that Isambard Kingdom Brunel was born in 1806 and died in 1859, in a book on early photographers at the moment Robert Howlett who took a lot of Brunel. I then got up had a shower and shave. After some tea and toast and watching Maternity episode of House I drove to work. I was there till half 12. I then drove to Bentley Bridge and got my nephews present. Sorted that one out. Then came home and read a bit of email and thats it. I then took the spare PC round to my ex ex gf. I was there a couple of hours. Even had a mug of Earl Grey tea. :) Its funny how her kids have grown. Maybe if I am fortunate enough I can get back with her one day. Only time will tell. She is lovely.

I came back home around tea time. Chatted for about half an hour too her. Then I made my tea which was mash with horseradish sauce, carrots and pork belly slices.

I have done a bit of studying after watching House and the episode Damned if you do. About a nun who falls ill with allergy symptons. Catching up slowly on this. Wish I had lectures, woudn't feel like I am lazy this year. Still got a 12000word essay to write eventually and gone back to the books for some basics. And got a website to create.

Back to work tomorrow. Oh well.

And the website is a fine art photo site http://www.atlasgallery.com/atlas.html - take a look and let me know what you think of this site.

Thank you for reading.

Thursday and Friday 23rd and 24th Nov 2006

Hi there readers,

For those who are american - happy thanksgiving.

For those who are russian - putin has lost the plot. When he first became president of your country, we all though he would do good things...alas he seems to be dropping himself in the mire and going back to old ways.

As for me? Voice is still a bit dicey but the coughing is almost gone.

Thursday: Went to work, no catch up today as it was all managed the previous day. Still quite steady though. Came home, did a little studying and reading email and comtemplation. Chatted with a friend on MSN. Thats about it really.

Friday: Work - a bit quieter but on days today. Some people wanted some last minute stuff rushing through. Talk about poor timekeeping rofl. I eventually left and came home. Wolves were playing last night and only managed a draw. :( not good enough. Speaking of sport, two days of the Ashes cricket and England are in dire straights already. I have always said Flintoff isnt a good captain and so I am being proved right. Mind you the Australian open(golf) is being lead by an Englishman. See if it lasts.

I did a tiny amount of reading. Watched an episode of House on DVD the one called Paternity where a Lacrosse playing kid is admitted after suffering blurred vision. Watched Have I Got News for you on the telly which was hosted by Ronni Ancona who does a good impression of Ruby Wax. I also read email, surfed the net, got the information from my sister-in-law as to what to get my nephew for christmas. Still waiting for a book from Amazon that hasn't turned up. I am not very happy about it. I can't contact amazon till Monday to see if it is still in the post. I need to start reading it now. :(

Oh well. Will just have to wait and see.

The website i am supplying in this post is http://www.free-av.com/ - an antivirus software site. If you download it please let me know what you think of it.

Thank you for reading.

Wednesday 22nd November 2006

Hello there readers,

Hope you are well. Still coughing a little but not as much now. Its slowly going.

Now rant today i think. Well apart from come on England lets have the Ashes back and make the Austrailian Premier a sour faced git again. :)

Today, well I have been to work this morning via the post sorting office to get some parcels. Want particularly too happy with one as I got charged £9 postage. I did get a partial postal refund. One book is missing by the look of it. Will have to chase that up. As for work....much better day today in some respects - well at least we know the problems and can work round them compared to yesterday when they surprised us.

Came home, read my email and chapter from one book for my project, one article too and created the second part of the survey for my project.

Fed the cats. One was chucked back outside after he started knocking things over again in the kitchen. Am not impressed.

And before i go to bed a website for you. http://www.kintyreway.com/ - now sure where this is but i thnk it is the UK's east coast. If you could let let me know what it is and what you think of the site it would be much appreciated.

Thank you for reading.

Best regards.

Tuesday 21st November 2006

Hi there readers.

Hope you are well. Still coughing a little.

Long day today at work...well disaster recovery testing. It didn't go according to plan. Can't say much suffice to say remember this phrase 'assumption is the mother of all fuckups'. Now I dont usually swear but I will make an exception today. They weren't mine - they were the fault of; a) others and b) badly designed error messages. Fortunately I am sceptical and checked something out and it was found that the message was wrong. I should stop worrying that I think I am wrong and start remembering people havent seen what I have seen or read as usually the case.

Once we got back to the office we were there another half hour at least with someone from another dept saying something as she snook into the office, almost scaring me.

I came home and left my colleague to do half hour more to catch up with me on the overtime front. We weren't happy.

I had beans on toast for tea, have read my post and emails. Did about an hours studying. Fed the cats and now they will go back outside again as I go to bed.

And a website: http://www.democraticbooks.org/ - something about photography and books I think, but my eyes are too tired to read it. Please let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Best regards for now.

Monday 20th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Hope you are well. Its another day. I am still coughing but now its cause my throat is irritated...although strangely not sore.

Rant: aint seen much in the news except the NASDAQ offer for the London Stock Exchange... perhaps it sees trouble in the Tech markets and is seeking to cover potential losses. Blair's out the country arselicking again....he should stay there I certainly don't want to see the traitor back in this country.

And as for my day.... well got up early for 7am start at work this morning. It was quiet due to something changing over the weekend. Back to normal tomorrow. We were all in today. Found out I was now 4th in Challenge Lawro....if only I hadn't changed those last three scores Saturday.... I may have been third. Oh well.

Came home via uni and managed to see both lecturers over the ethical approval forms which we now have to do when we want to carry out a survey. Crikey, bloody paperwork. I also did a little more research and got some more journal articles. Hope I aint got to find too many more as got stacks to read as it is.

I then came home, chatted to a couple of mates one on AOL and one on ICQ. I half watched the Holiday program on BBC1 before switching to the Gadget show on channel 5. I have emptied and refilled the dishwasher and put that on. Fed the cats as usual and moved clothes from washing machine to the dryer...now if only the dryer was solar powered lol.

Thats it really. No post today. I payed the other bill I still had to sort out. Car started this morning after the 2nd time. My work colleague thinks it could be the glow plugs. Oh well.

And before I go a website for you today http://www.medicinenet.com/ - medical matters. Take a look and let me know what you think.

thank you for reading.

Best regards.

Sunday 19th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Hope you are well. Another day and still coughing. Still at least the infection is clearing up even if the cough isnt.

Rant: some bloke saying that Labour have looked after the economy on tv this morning.....yeah right... that upped taxed, road tax, national insurance....disgraceful thievery more like. Time they went. Please the USA impeach Bush and Cheney and if you can manage it Blair. There are no WMDs in Iraq, never was, never had been. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence could see that. Now these idiots have put our countries under threat of terrorist attack. Charge em with treason I say because there is no excuse for their lies to the whole world.
Transport policy - what rot... we were told unleaded petrol was cleaner than old 4 star and what they do? Tax it...saying its knackering the environment.....BS!!! Try taxing those guzzling aircraft which cause more pollution than the car. Even diesel is cleaner these days yet still.... sick of all this hypocritical BS the government comoe out with. Shame the price of fuel isnt going up - would like to see a petrol strike. I would get on me bike then :)

As for what I have done today, well after the usual round of reading including a couple of pages on Robert Howlett the man who photographed Isambard Kingdom Brunel and about the cd-writing sotware in Linux. I had a shower, got dressed, had some tea and toast and walked to ASDA after checking my emails. Nothing interesting. Got what I wanted from ASDA namely food, like satsumas, bread, cooked meat, chop and milk and walked home. Put it away, put the cardboard in the car and after 20goes at trying to start it managed to get it to start.

I then drove to the tip, getting rid of the cardboard, drove to Essington Fruit Farm and got me a porkpie, some potatoes, carrots, and some vine tomatoes and broccoli and drove home. No trouble starting the car this time. Just about remembered the speed camera as I went through it.

I came home, watched the pilot episode of House on DVD where a teacher has collapsed speaking gibberish at a school. House gets collared into doing what can only be GP's work lol.

After that had half the porkpie, and as I was eating it, my mum rang asking if I wanted to go round for lunch. So i did in the car which started first time. Didnt have to fix anything this time. My stepfather says he was impressed with the Bala run train sim addin. Its been on his PC for a while.

After coffee I left and came home, printed off some photos I took over Cannock Chase a couple of months ago. Must learn to focus properly as many were wrongly focused. Also copied them to DVD. One down loads to go. :(

I also as these were printing , read some journal articles for my uni essay. I have since read a couple of chapters from some books.

I am just filling in this blog and then going to bed. Well once I have done my Myspace one.

And a website. http://www.morrisphoto.co.uk/ - check this for photography equipment. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you for reading.

Best regards for now.

As for what I have done today?

Saturday 18th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Hope you are all well. Crikey...I am posting nearly every day at the moment. Wait for it... there's bound to be a time when I miss a day or few. Hope it isn't too soon. As for me well I am still coughing.

Well what did I do Saturday? Well good question.... I got up after my usual round of reading, including about Linux command prompt commands. That will be useful for when things get stuck. Also had a bacon sandwich and a mug of tea for breakfast. After I had cleaned down the George Foreman grill which had last nights remants from cooking them lamb chops.

My youngest half-brother came round to do two hours in the garden. Now I know I watched some podcasts(get well soon Cali Lewis on Geekbrief TV). Must have done something else for two hours....mind is a blank. Once he had finished drove him to the cinema and waited till his friend turned up while listening to his half-brother on http://www.kicfm.net - its a Wolverhampton bases student radio station - if you live in Wolverhampton it is on 87.7fm.

Once he friend turned up I came straight home. I then watched the Matrix Revolutions. It was good film, slow to start but once the actions hots up it is great. I must see the middle one. Any ideas what it is called let me know.

I then read email and sorted out yahoo groups so I didnt get loads of emails from them. I read one article for my uni essay. I also upto going to bed edited all the Cannock Chase photos now I know which option to choose when loading Photoshop Elements. Doh!!!

I watched Robin Hood on BBC1 and thats about it really. Oh I remember I was on the phone to my cousin's mate for over half an hour trying to sort out his PC so he could play DVDs on it as he is having a problem with some DVD playing software. Told him to update realplayer when he gets his internet connection Monday. And see if that helps.

Rant: none really although Wolves don't look like they will make the playoffs at this rate. Blair is out the country, best place for him. Should take the rest of his phoney cronies with him as well.

Sympathies today are with the family of the President of Welsh Rugby as he collapsed and died yesterday.

A website for you today is http://www.euring.org/ - to do with the ringing of birds... the feathered kind.... just in case you thought otherwise lol ;)

Thank you for reading.

Best regards.

Friday 17th November 2006

Hello people,

Hope you are all well. Still coughing a bit. Cause I had the back door open for the cats I have had the fire on today... shut the door first though. Cats are now back outside.

I have read my email, surfed the web, got some more definitions printed and been out twice...shock.

I got up this morning after the usual round of reading. I watched Unbreakable on DVD - what a totally and utterly boring film. Even with Bruce Willis in it I found it tedious. It was quite strange. If you even see it and you disagree with my comments let me know.

After that I went for a walk to ASDA after getting my post which included a book I will use a little for my uni project and the black ink cartridges for my printer phew!!!

When i went to ASDA on foot i remembered the toothpaste today. I was slowly running out. On my way there someone from the local halls of residence chucked an apple out the Window which nearly hit me. grrrr!!! Got some cheese and some minted lamb steaks which I had for tea with mustard mash and peas....yummmy!!!!

I had read one article and the first chapter of that book. I was making notes as I went on the computer. I have also altered my survey - twice. Must resubmit it and get the ethical forms in Monday next week.

Have also done some washing today. And fixed some photos...once I figured that I was using the wrong part of the software when I opened it....doh!!!!

The second journey was in the car to my mums. I managed to sort out a couple of xmas presents so that just leaves two. Next decorations. Funny though my mum hasn't asked me what I would like yet.

And i have watched bits of Children in Need, The Wright Stuff, The Late show with Jools Holland and Martial Law(Kelly Hu is fit) on ITV4. Thats about it really.

Still single and still looking. I can but hope. Must get back on me bike soon as well.

The website for today is a bit dark, and is about road accidents... http://www.whenlivescollide.co.uk/ - take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Best regards.

Thursday 16th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Well another day and still coughing. Hope you are all well. It has been a longish day.

Here goes on what I have done today.

Got up after my usual round of reading. I even cleaned my eyelids(suffer from dry eyes) only cause I remembered the cotton buds and baby shampoo last night. Supposed to clean them every day but havent for a while.

I had some toast, tea and malted milk biccies(my only vice). I filled my blogs in this morning for yesterday. I read some email. I put the bin out and started getting my clothes washed and dried. Got quite a few loads to do. See ladies I do know how to use a washing machine - then again it is a bit like a gadget lol.

I altered my project proposal and resubmitted that via email. Research question always seem hard to create - well to make them look like they are a strong question. Its ok now I just have to submit the ethical forms for doing a survey. Thats a point must sort that survey out tomorrow and change it.

I then watched Minority Report on DVD. Tom Cruise was ok, and I thought the film was dragged out a bit though. Still can't have everything.

I read email this afternoon. Watched Murder She Wrote on BBC1. I also read the usability articles I get via email. So they are now caught up on. Chatted to a couple of people on yahoo for a few mins while I printed out some articles for my studies. Also watched Coast on BBC2 and then the UK Music Hall of Fame awards - well those inducted into that hall of fame including Bon Jovi :) And what a superb live performance from them. Joss Stone was the other highlight, those legs and that short dress certainly caught the eye. Prince was very nervous in his short speech. Thats about it really. I am going to bed in a min.

First a website for you. http://www.boingboing.net/ - it says a directory of wonderful things. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you for reading.

Best Regards.

Wednesday 15th November 2006

Hi there people,

Hope you all had a good Wednesday. Here's how my day went. And yep still coughing, but it is improving.

Got up at half 6(what on a week off I hear you ask) yep its true. Had to go to ASDA and get some bits and pieces like washing liquid tabs for clothes, cat food, milk, bread, eggs and bacon. Forgot I need toothpaste....Doh!!! Anyways I also used the cashback facility(don't trust cashpoints) to get the money I needed for the MOT.

I then came home, got my car out from the service road(i had used my brothers old Volvo to go to ASDA). I then put the shopping away, had a mug of tea and a bacon sandwhich and then went and got my car MOT'd. Was there a while but it passed :) Phew!!!

I then came home via a garage because I had to put diesel in it although I went left out the garage instead of right because I couldn't be bothered to queue. Ended up coming back up another road where this woman looked at me 3 times :) She looked about 19yo. Think she was off to college. Oh well I was in the car at the time.

I then got home, put some things together and went back out the house. Now I was just starting to walk down the road when I noticed it was raining. Soooo... I decided to get in the car eventually after humming and arhhhing over it and drove to the Uni's Compton Park campus, has they had a book I was after on a long loan well 3 weeks anyway. I then did some research looking for articles which I found quite a few. It was about midday when I left and drove home. I then had a couple of boiled eggs and toast for dinner before driving upto town as the weathermen had put me off walking up.

I then went into the uni library looked up a couple of books which I got and then I went to see the supervising lecturer. It transpires that the email I was sent by the lecturer responsible for all the Msc projects had gone to my work address. But I did get a copy of it and went through the comments re my project proposal which will need changing. After about half an hour went out into the communal computing area and did some research looking for articles that were used in the research for the articles I had already read. Couldn't find many and two I would have had to pay for :( I also ordered a book on the subject from amazon.

I then came home, read some emails, spoke to my brother, tried again to get into the meter cupboards as someone was trying to read the meters for gas and electric but with no success as the door was wedged. Will have to fix it.

I then went to Ray another brothers house, where I then had to follow him to his girlfriend's sister's flat. She wanted me to sort out Java on her PC and I did that but after getting rid of some annoying bluetooth thing that kept coming up on start up grrrrr!!!!

Took me about and hour or so. But once done she was happy :) I am just too good at sorting these things out. :) Thats the second one in two days.

I then came back via ASDA as it had the cheapest ink cartridge for my printer because the ones I had ordered off the net hadn't turned up yet so I was able to do a little printing.

Then read my email and then went to bed.

My website for you is http://www.benheck.com/ - a technology help site I think it seems to be. Take a look and let me know what you think. Thank you.

I am off to do some bit and pieces now.

Have fun.

Tuesday 14th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Hope you are all well. Well I am still coughing every now and again.

I am feeling relatively calm today. I was comtemplative this afternoon. Thinking that I will give my company till June 2007 to decide to make use of me and my masters degree - when I finish it of course. If not then I will start to look elsewhere. I would like to find a company outside my current one where I could be on trial on the weekend while still doing my other job just in case it fell through... and to make sure they were getting what they wanted.

Well today its been the same as the rest of the week so far. Read a few artciles, pages from books etc including a Linux article on the accessibility of Suse Linux - KDE desktop - which is a pain cause I use the Gnome desktop. I have this evening finished reading an edition of Black and White Photography magazine. This morning I watched I-Spy the film on DVD with Owen Wilson and Eddie Murphy. Its bad enough one of them talks forever without stopping but Owen Wilson just whinges on and on. Grrrrr!!! They could have found a better looking actress too. lol
Apparently Johnny Vaughan in the News of the World rated it 5 stars. Errr i think not more like 2.

I have read another three journal articles while reading email, watching Murder She Wrote and a little of Holby City. Still waiting for an answer from my brother on what to get my nephew for Christmas. I also had to fix my cousin's mate's PC by putting in my spare power supply unit. You should have seen the muck on the heat sync fan.... rofl and I thought mine was dusty. I did get it work eventually. So that was sorted out and then advised him on a new mouse, wireless optical not an optical one with a wire. Also advised him on DVD writers. See what he gets shall we.

And now for the website http://www.idtheftcenter.org/index.shtml - as it says but it is an American based site. ID theft does occur. But fortunately it's occurrence is rare but the chance to lose you identity to someone else is all to easy as checking your email will find out and all those spam mails you get. Grrrrr!!! Watch out, dont reply to anything you are nor expecting. Install a good antivirus and a good firewall, windows defender if you use Windows and a program called Adware - as defender seems lacking in a lot of basics.

I am off now so I will bade you farewell.

Take care readers.

Monday 13th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Hope you are all well. Still coughing here a little. Nearly run out of antibiotics...hope its gone before the end of the week.

before what i have done today my occasional rant well comments: Bush/Blair should be impeached for lieing to just about everyone. Giving compensation to prisoners cause they had to go without their drugs? Absolutely disgraceful. They are in prison to be punished and if they dont get their drugs....well tough!!! Just another liberty they are allowed to take under this loony labour government - traitors!!! SAP advertising its software on mainstream tv... err why??? I have used it, I certaintly wouldn't have it in a company I was running. And anyways they can't technically use SAP as an acronym cause the World Bank beat them to it many years ago.... SAP = Stuctural Adjustment Programs... I know I studied it for my disseration when I was first at university.

So what have I been doing today? Well the usual mix of reading before I got up. Off work all this week. I then watched Bridget Jones Diary - Edge of Reason, didn't seem as funny as it did when I saw it at the cinema with the ex ex gf. Thats a point I am still single and noone in sight for me at the moment. Mentally - calmish although this cough is annoying me. Bored too at times. Although I did manage to empty the bins this morning shock...horror rofl.

I then read some more magazine articles before having a sandwich and reading 3 journal articles as research for my uni project. They aint half boring, and sometimes so long winded....yawn. Must remember to add internet to the search next time.... to reduce the amount of rubbish i get.

I have also read my emails, filled in my blog and uploaded a photo to a photo site called treklens. Learned about the spot healing brush in a book about photoshop elements, which seems a bit naff at time cause it misses some important information and leaves me scratching my(and no i havent got nits).

I did have to order some ink cartidges from amazon for my printer as when i tried to do some printing this afternoon of word definitions there was no black. :( Still things can only get better as they say. And my one brother wants me to go round and fix his gf''s sister's computer, well install java anyways. Will do that once my car passes the MOT.

And the website for today I give you is http://www.pumlumon.org.uk/ - fancy a holiday in Mid Wales then try this site. Let me know what you think about it.

Thank you for reading.

Best regards for now.

Sunday 12th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Welcome to my Remebrance day post. All those many years ago men and women lost their lives to rid the world of the biggest evil that had been seen at that time in the second World War.

Hope you are all well. I am still coughing, getting slowly better though.

Today I have been in most of the day. I started by reading some photopgraphy pages magazines and books and a linux article on Scribus a DTP application. Must check that out sometime.

Then I had a shower, some tea and toast and walked to and from ASDA. I got back put the shopping away and sat down and watched Spiderman 2 on DVD. Is it me or are they beginning to take away the secrecy surrounding these superheroes now to increase the chances of a love story?

My cousin turned up with my brother half and hour before the end. Spiderman seemed a little too over the top.

I read a couple of journal articles again for uni and a couple more photography articles. I also completed the questionaire for my uni project.

I have read email, surfed the web and rated a few more tunes. Thats about it really. Oh I also cooked Spaghetti Bolognese for tea. Seems to be repeating on my now - must have put too many herbs in it. Marjoram, oregano, paprika and basil.

Anyways a website for you know. http://www.recycle-more.co.uk/ - about recycling. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you for reading.

Regards.

Saturday 11th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Hope you are all well. I am still coughing but it is getting better.

Boracic now till pay day. So I have not been anywhere today.

I started this morning by reading a few articles on photography and one on Linux(well Gnomemeeting and Skype). I then got out of bed and put some washing in the washing machine. Then had some tea and toast. I then preceeded to watch King Arthur on DVD. It was an ok film, quite violent... some blood, more than in the The Last Samurai anyway. Clive Owen as King Arthur seemed a bit stiff, Ioan Gruffud was ok as Lancelot, more relaxed, but the character Boors played by Ray Winstone was good and Ray Winston played him excellently, in fact the best actor in the film. If you should see this or have seen this let me know what you think.

This afternoon once I had a cup of soup, I read one article for my uni course. Then I switched the telly on and what was on? The rugby...they were showing the Wales game... if the Welsh stopped switching off to let the other team score a try I would say they would be my favourites for the six nations. At least they have a better chance than England who were beaten by Argentina.... in the rugby I ask you. Now you know when it comes to Rugby Union why I support Wales.

I then started on the second article I planned to read today related to my uni course. I read half of it before I had my tea. My brother has dented a hire car apparently he has... he his trying to get it fixed before he has to give it back.

I then watched Strictly Come Dancing and Robin Hood on BBC1 while eating my beans on toast. I then switched to Channel 5 after the result and watched NCIS - 2 episodes of. I wont tell you what has happened in the latter one in case you want to catch it some other time.

I downloaded my email and will read it tomorrow. I have put the cats out as I was finishing reading the second article. I have also rated a bit more of the music on my pc and moved some of my CDs up into my bedroom. Need another case.

And finally the website for today is http://www.brianphipps.net/ - a photographer's website. He specialises in wildlife photography. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Hope you all sleep well.

Good night.

Friday 10th November 2006

Hi there people,

Hope you are well. I am still coughing. It is getting better slowly.

I have been to work today. Steady. It started well then when my colleague turned up all the machines started playing up. Go figure. Boss was off today. :) Had to do some colour printing... all done and sorted.

rant of the day: train murder - killer jailed - should have been jailed till he was dead but given 21years minimum. BNP leader found not guilty - here's a thought - in the next general election it is my belief there will be a BNP MP. If that happens its a sign that there are problems in this country which are not being addressed. And locally, Beatties stores to be renamed House of Fraser....why??? Should keep the Beatties name as its distinct, expensive but distinct. Oh I hear council tax is changing. My bill had better not go up, sick to teeth of everything going up.

I eventually came home, read my email, surfed the web, had a chat with a mate on yahoo.

I have watched Pimp my Ride uk and then followed by the usa version. in the uk version there is a white man trying to pretend he his a of black origins....idiot he really is.

I also watched Have I Got News For You and Not Going Out. Rechecked my email and filled me blogs in. Oh and ordered a music book from Amazon uk and cancelled the Amazon usa order for it.

A website for you today. Well... http://www.houseblinger.com/ - think xmas decorations... its houses with lots of lights on them. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Hope you all sleep well.

Good night.

Thursday 9th November 2006

Hi there readers,

Hope you are well. I am still coughing....will it never end. I think it is getting better now.

Well today was just a normal Thursday. Work was slightly busier today. Had a few machine troubles. Apart from that it was fine. Also found out about a small restructuring. I left on time and came home.

I have read my email, surfed the net and watched the news and Coast on the telly.

I also emailed the Course lecturer at uni with some comments based on my experience as a student and thoughts on the Course for the last year.

I am still single...:(

Bush has been kicked hard in the states. :) about time they told him to get lost. Blair should follow.
Interest rates have gone up, good job I could get mine fixed for 3 years. Will we see a recession if they continue to go up???? Maybe a blip but something catastrophic would have to happen if there was to be a recession.
Bring back capital punishment for depraved offences.

Thats my rantings for the time being I think. unless something else crops up.

The website for today is http://www.innovaart.com - about digital art. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Byeeee for now.

Hi there readers,

Hope you are all well. My cough is slowly getting better - i think. Seems a bit worse again tonight.

I went to work this morning in the car. One more day and I will have to cycle as its MOT is up tomorrow. Till the middle of next week though. Excercise doesnt hurt. ;)

Work was steady today. No drivers trying to take me off the road today. The boss was on course all day. Loads to do though.

When I left came straight home. Got me parcel, opened that then opened other post. Read some emails, chatted to the ex ex gf on msn for a while in amongst two modem crashes. :( Watched Watchdog and Holby City on telly and thats about it really.

Hope I sleep better tonight. And as for the cats, well the one is being a right pain. Knocked over some milk again today. Must get my brother to stop leaving it lying around. They were fed earlier and will be put out in a bit before I go to bed.

Monday 6th November 2006

Hello readers,

Hope you are well. I am still coughing. Pains in abdomen if I sit normally too long.

Today, I woke up at half four coughing, couldnt get back to sleep. I eventually got out of bed when my alarm went off at half five. I did all the usual things including have a shave the first since last Wednesday.

After getting dressed I drove to work. Didn't have the radio on. It was fairly easy really. Work was steady, even though there was lots to do but the printers could only go so fast. The 'town' run saw some bad drivers on the road... including one lorry who nearly pushed me into a road island. Others were just very slow off the mark.

After work I came home via town as there was supposed to be a parcel for me to collect from the post office. It wasnt there so that was a waste of 50p parking. Came home, only to go out again twenty mins later to the doctors.

It was a female doctor, youngish. But good and listened too. I got prescribed antibiotics and I have to go back in a week if it doesnt clear up. Hope it has cause I need to get back on my bike Thursday as my car's MOT runs out Wednesday.

Once home, I cooked jacket potatoes for tea with tuna and mayonaise. I have read my email, watched a the Gadget Show on channel 5. Surfed the web and read a photography article. I am just filling in my blogs before making meself a tea and going to bed.

The website for today is http://www.eurohandball.com/ - about a sport called handball, not well known in UK. Take a look at the site and let me know what you think.

Thank you for reading and will post again soon.

Thank you.

Night Night.

Sunday 5th November 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are well. Nearly got my voice back but still coughing. Mind you still single too :( Oh well.

Havent really done much today. Been to ASDA for some bits and pieces. Really must take a calculator... I used to be so good at mental maths... now i am almost useless. grrrrr.

I did some studying, about time too i hear you cry. :) I read to journal articles... one of which was so long winded it was unreal. So glad to finish it. I rated some tunes on itunes as well. I have read my email. Faffed about on the net.

I had hot dog sarnies for dinner and for tea I had horseradish creamed mash and peas and sausages. Just had a mug of tea cause I was coughing. Havent watched much telly today except a replay of the rugby league match from yesterday when Great Britain beat Austrailia..... hee hee. ahem.

Watched The Last Samurai on DVD - it was ok. Sometimes felt it was a bit long. Koyuki is super as the shy Taka, the sisterof Kasamoto or something like that. Better to look at too than Tom Cruise.

I am off to bed now, but before I go a website for you http://www.sciencentral.com/ - something about making sense of science. Click the link to see the site. Please let me know what you think of it.

Thank you.

Bye bye for now.

Saturday 4th Novembver 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are well. I am still recovering from that infection. Friday - had the day off sick as I was losing my voice and a bad night of coughing, including having to have a mug of tea at 2am in the morning. Watched a couple of episodes of CSI Miami.

Saturday - today, well still getting better - I hope.... although the smoke from all the fireworks round here isnt helping. I have been to ASDA and the tip(finally got rid of an old lawnnmower that wasnt working) today. finished a couple of photography magazines today. My one half-brother came round and did the front garden for a couple of hours. I have watched a couple of episodes of CSI Miami season 2 well the last two from that season. And the first one from Season 3. Watched Strictly Come Dancing and Robin Hood and BBC1 and the back end of NCIS on channel 5. Also saw most of the international rugby match Wales v Austrailia - which ended in a draw. Good on Wales I say. Looking good for the six nations I think soi far.

I have checked my email. Not been on the computer much today. Must get some studynig done.... hope the cat stays out my way.

At least things are slowly getting there and Wolves won today as well. Phew!!!

A website for you today is: http://www.parisfacial.ytmnd.com/ - its Paris Hilton related well fast moving pictures of her. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thursday 2nd November 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are all feeling better than me. I currently have the chest infection and now have laryngitis. :( Still things can only get better. I have got a doc's appt Monday.

I have been to work today. People except my boss saying I should go home. I have almost lost my voice. It felt like a really long day. My work colleague got me a pork pie from a butcher's that makes a good one.... hard to find with jelly in.

Came home, read my email had chips and pie and curry sauce from the chippy. Watched Coast and the Catherine Tate Show on BBC2. Think Catherine Tate needs to stop dragging her sketches out though. Although the office one was very crude.

Clicked the Stumble icon in internet explorer a few times to see what it sent. I like the weird one. Thats a link for another day. It seems a bit spooky,

And a website for you today is http://www.pimpthatsnack.com - exactly as the web link says. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Goodnight.

Wednesday 1st November 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are feeling better than me. I still have the infection and my throat is starting to feel worse. Hope I dont lose my voice.

As for today, I have been to work. It has been cold. My car's thermostat has packed up. Work was steady today. It also seems that I am a student rep again this year.

I came home, one present had been delivered, so thats one sorted. Before work this morning I connected the wireless adaptors I had got from the sorting office as I had to go there and pick up the parcel which contained them. Fitted them. Then realised I only need the ethernet leads to the computers as the wireless router has four ports on the back..... hmmm.

I watched part of programs inbetween reading email and getting my browsers working efficiently on the net.

I am now just filling in my blogs before I go to bed. Watched a few vids on you tube cause I was bored. Even the mini cooper v a remote control car video from fifth gear someone posted on there.

Congratulations to Top Gear on their award for best factual program at last nights National Television Awards. It is truly a great show. Hope the Hamster is back working with them soon.

And with that it is website time.... http://www.hubblesite.org - its to do with the Hubble space mission thingy. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you for reading. Night!!!
