Wednesday 31st May 2006

Hi People,

Hope you are all well.

I will skip most of the days since its been almost two weeks since my last post. However I shall start at last Saturday. Since last I spoke the pregnant cat has had 4 kittens one of which died last night. The other three all seem to be in good health.

Saturday 27th May 2006: Got up at 5am. Got washed and dressed. Drove to the railway station and caught the 6:01am train to Birmingham. From Birmingham after getting a bottle of water I got the 6:30 train to Newcastle getting off at Darlington. From Darlington I then got another train to Edinburgh my destination. On this train GNER - I managed to secure a seat in first class for an extra tenner and a free cup of coffee in a chine cup. Got to Edinburgh Waverly station app 11:46am. What a weird place. The station is all over the place. Anyways, once I found my way out I walked up to Edinburgh Castle which isnt that far. All uphill though. I then queued to get a ticket to get in and then spent the next couple of hours looking round and buying bits and pieces. I also took plenty of photographs. In the national war museum i had to put my rucksack behind a wall so i didnt know anything over. Fair point. I even had something to eat in the cafe there. Eventually after leaving the Castle I decided to walk around the town. Took a few more photos. I went into a shop and got a bottle of Whiskey Liqueur thats made up of malt whiskey, honey and sloeberries. yum. Only cause i tried it in the shop first so I bought a bottle. Apparently its only available in Scotland. I then walked around Edinburgh some more. eventually going into Burger King for something to eat before going back to the railway station. When I got to the station I had to stand and watch the departures board for ages. Due to no platform being displayed against the train i was catching. I also noticed the news headlines about a man being stabbed on a train. I was a little bit wary after that. Anyways the train turned out to be on a platform over the bridge, 100's of yards away. Got there in time though. The train went past the one where the stabbing took place. Was a bit chilling as it stoppedo n the same platform as the crime scene tape at the one station. Anyways, I also paid for an upgrade £15 this time to first class, free coffee on the first train. Had to change at Preston as the guards said it would be better. Having said that, the screen there said train on one platform, it pulled into another and me a and other passengers had to leg it over the bridge(my knees hurting) to get it. Think two missed it. Never mind. Anyways got back to Wolverhampton, got me car and drove home. Went to bed once I had emptied me rucksack.

Sunday 28th May 2006: Today I got up around 9am. I went to the local supermarket. Came home put the food away. Then went to get some diesel and then to Essington Farm Shop. I bought some veg and some salad items. Then came home. Not sure if I got flashed by a speed camera as I forgot it was where it was till I went past it. Just a matter of wait and see now. Came home didnt do too much today except recover from the previous long day. Watched some episodes of TJ Hooker and CSI. Eventually went to bed.

Monday 29th May 2006: Got up at 6am. Got dressed and made some tea. Then got my brother to drive me to the railway station where I got my ticket and caught the train. No first class today. The train was the 6:50am to Aberystwyth, but I got off at Machynlleth and then caught the 9:07am to Phwellhi but I got off at Barmouth. I then went and had some breakfast. And after getting a bottle of mineral water I then walked across the bridge which spans the Mawdachh estuary. Not a tall bridge at all. As I got to the other side it started to rain. Fortunately I had put on my fleece jacket. But not my water proof. So I walked as fast i could to the station called Morfa Mawdachh about a mile and a half from Barmouth station. I put my waterproof jacket on, but the shelter was open to the elements. The rain came in light and heavy variations. Fortunately a train back to Barmouth turned up after about 20mins and I got that. I then shopped around a bit before going into the Lion pub for some dinner. After that I walked back to the station and awaited the train back to Machynlleth where I had to wait an hour for the train back to Wolverhampton. Once back I had to walk home cause my brother was down the pub. I then unpacked my rucksack, checked my email, watch a little telly and then went to bed.

Tuesday 30th May 2006: Well I got up at 7:30am and had a shower and got dressed. I eventually went to work. It was a quiet day other than being shown the Mistle Thrushes nesting on the window ledge opposite our office window. Came home had pasta for tea. Watch an episode of TJ Hooker on DVD and CSI on channel 5 and after reading my email I then went to bed.

Today: Well I got up at 7:30am, had a shave, fed the cat, my brother is off sick and looking after the other cat and the kittens. Then went to work. It was a relatively normal day including going out for a ride on my bike with my work colleague lunchtime. I need a racer to keep up not my mountain bike. oh well. Came home, read my post which was just a bill. Read my email and in a while shall go to bed. I had chips, burger and beans for tea. Thats my week so far.

Love life - no sign of life.

Work - ok but still lacking that essential exciting component plus bigger pay packet.

A website: http://www.collectivegood.com - something about recycling mobile phones.

Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank and good night.

Wednesday 17th May 2006 part b

Hi people,

This is the second part of my post catching up on my life.

Friday 12th May 2006: Got up at the early time of half five. Went to work where nothing interesting happened. Got the work done. Came home. Then went to play five a side football with my half-brother and brother-in-law. Scored two own goals...well they were rebounds off me foot and leg. Oh well. Went back round my brother-in-laws and had a tuna jacket potato and salad. Then after Grumpy Old Men on BBC2 went home. Let the cats in and went to bed. My legs especially round my knees were quite sore.

Saturday 13th May 2006: Well i eventually got myself out of bed. My knees were very sore. Had to go pick up cousin and take cat to vet. Apparently the vet didnt do neutering so had to find another vet. We then dropped him off in Sedgley, not before dropping off my electric guitar to be repaired in Wolverhampton. Then dropped him off in Sedgely to go see nan. Eventually went to Merry Hill. I didnt buy too much except for a flash gun for my camera and some shower gel and that. Just wasnt in the mood to splash out loads of money. Paid bills too today. Got them out the way. Got back from Merry Hill and didnt do too much apart from watch the football on the telly. Watched CSI NY on channel5. Then went to bed. Oh yeah the ex-gf flew off to Spain for her holiday today.

Sunday: Once I got up. Still feeling a little sore. I went to the tip to take cardboard and plastic bottles for recycling. Then I went to the supermarket. Got the food etc I needed and came home. Then eventually I went round my mum's for dinner and she game me the birthday present from my half-brothers. After checking their PC and sorting out a password problem, the scamps I came home. Cant remember watching anything of interest and eventually went to bed. Although I did work on the presentation report for university over this weekend. So I managed to get something done.

Monday: My birthday. Got the day off work. Yippeeee. Went to the uni campus at Telford but no computers were free so came home. Also picked up my repaired and cleaned up electric guitar. Bought a bag to carry it in should I take it anywhere. Ordered the music book to Bon Jovi's latest album. Took a while for it to appear. One of my other brothers popped round as did my sister and her family. Got a t-shirt from my half-brothers and a DVD from my mum and stepfather although still waiting for it. Got some vouchers and a book too. Had myself a pizza delivered for tea and thats about it really.

Tuesday. Back at work today on days. Basically normal 9-5. Got up at half 7. Fed the cats and put them outside then went to work. It was a fairly steady day really. One of the printers suffered a fault...the hard drive failed....typical. The Australian HR development lady came and visited us. She has something really powerful about her that instills confidence in you. And lovely blue eyes too. Still...hope she can help me out of my current job and into something more challenging. We'll see. I have to open me mouth first so to speak. Anyways, once work was over I went straight to university for a lecture. At least I had come across RSS before. ;) one over on the group of four arrogants. Then I came home, via the supermarket and then after watching CSI on channel 5 I went to bed as I was on earlies the following day.

Today: Phew. Well got up at half five this morning. Fed the cats and put them outside then went to work. It was a quiet day really. We had three engineers in for various things. No new visitors today. No daft jobs either. So finished around 3pm an came home via my brother's as it was his wife's birthday. Bet she aint too happy as he is flying off to South Africa again today. Lucky git. Just watched bits of telly and tidied my other desk up for my intended day of study tomorrow. We'll see. Got to get these essays done by Friday night. Fortunately they can be submitted online.

And now for a website. http://www.textamerica.com/ - take a look and let me know what you think.

Thursday 4th May 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are all well.

Here is my week thus far:

Monday: I got up at 5:30am, fed the cats and put them outside. Once dressed I drove to the railway station as my brother wasn't here. I caught the 6:50am train to Barmouth changing at Machynlleth. No cafe or newsagent was open at Wolverhampton. None on the train either even though the ticket office said otherwise. Once at Machynlleth managed to get a tea, packet of crisps and a twix. Then got the train to Barmouth. Once there I went for breakfast at the Anchor Restaurant. Got a bottle of water and went walking across the bridge and around Arthog Bog. Got back across the bridge and went walking up Dina Oleu. Took some photos and filmed from up there. Then walked back down and had lunch in the Lion pub/hotel. Had battered mushrooms for breakfast and Lamb shank...yum yum. Then went back to the station to get the train home. It was a few minutes late changing at Machynlleth. Unlike Saturday, the train was moved to the sidings and we all clamboured aboard onto the train that had joined up to 'us' on Saturday. It was overcrowded. Got to Wolverhampton and payed for car park, got car and drove home. I let the cats in, ironed a t-shirt and then went to bed.

Tuesday: Got up 7:30am. Woken up at quarter t o7 by a text from my work colleague about a dodgy printer. Had a shave when I got up after reading a couple of photography articles and 30pages of John Grisham's the Broker. Let cats out and fed them. Went to work at 8:45am and got there at 5 past 9 due to roadworkds and temporary traffic lights. Work was very busy including completing a job from Friday. Boss had couple of visitors. His boss queried us about something, good job we keep records. Had a printer engineer out for a non-working printer, needed a part so he his returning tomorrow. Hopefully it will be fixed then as it is the busiest day. When i finished work, went to university, sat through two presentations and the lecture. Then went to a garage for diesel and then to the supermarket for food etc. Then got back home, read post and let cats back in. Watched CSI on channel 5.

Yesterday: Got up 7:30am, had a shower, fed the cats and put them outside. Got dressed after doing my packed lunch and drove to work. Work was very busy today, one printer was unavilable most of the day, and all the printers suffered faults at some point during the day. Everything else was ok and I finished 15mins late. Then I drove home, spoke to a mortgage advisor who was here for three quarter's of an hour. He his due to visit with some figures Friday. then once my brother returned, we went to see another of my brothers as it was one of my niece's birthday. I thought my garden was bad. Was there two hours before we left and went to the supermarket where we walked into our brother-in-law. We were there nearly three-quarters of a hour before we got our shopping finished and got home. I put my shopping away, let the cats back in, put the drier on and then refilled the washing machine and put that on. Brother emptied the bin. I then ironed my t-shirt for work, closed the back door and went to bed.

Today: Got up at 7:30am. Had a shave, put washing out on the washing line, fed the cats and put them out. Then went to work after getting dressed and making my lunch. It was a slow start at work finishing with a flourish. Drove home, read post and email. About 6:10pm went upstairs to put the drier on. Opened the window for the exhaust hose and noticed a man collapsed in the street outside my next door neighbour. Being a first aider I legged it down the stairs shouting at my brother to get an ambulance. I rendered first aid, well kept him the recovery position as he was fitting and when it subsided kept him there incase he was sick or the fitting started again. Another neighbour called the ambulance and I spoke to the operator who asked me a couple of questions. The only noticeable thing was his breathing was regular and heavy. Checked for a head injury but found no visible sign of any. Ambulance arrived very quickly and eventually took him to hospital. Note: he was a young man out walking his dog. The dog ran home and a neighbour who drove past notified his sister. Apparently we didnt know till she appeared where the dog had gone. Hope the man will be ok. I felt a little shaky after that but had a tea to relax. After that, did some more washing etc. Watched House and Grey's Anatomy on channel 5. Just got to remake my bed, iron my t-shirt for work and get the cats in.

Phew:
