Thursday 28th September 2006

Hi people,

Hope you all had a good Thursday. Mine was well quiet really. So far so good this week I haven;t yet had a packet of crisps.

Got at 5:30am. Had a shower, had tea and 3 toast for breakfast, I filled in my blog then did my packed lunch before getting dressed and then going to work. I drove to work listening to the Automatic. I also took my mountain bike nito work for my colleague to fix the seat on it as it keeps moving. It was a quiet day. I learnt one thing and that to remember I may make a small mistake but others make bigger ones like failing to read an email properly, I subsequently got someone elses email.... not impressed and some work we did for someone turned out to be a crock cause they data they supplied was wrong. doh! Took the bike out at lunchtime for a 4mile cycle ride with my work colleague. I also rang the post office to ask them to ask the postman to put patcels in the recycling box not on top.

I left on time at 3pm driving straight home. Was going to go ge my student union ID card but bad tummy meant straight home. I read my email and there was nothing interesting as usual. I then listened to or watched all the podcast updates for the previous couple of days.

I had fish and chips for tea. My ex ex gf said she was getting it when i was chatting to her online. So I got some too. tut tut i have been good all week rofl.

I played around on the internet, didnt watch any telly. I also read the project proposal guidelines for uni and I will begin them the weekend. I ironed a t-shirt, put the cats out with their hard food and then went to bed.

Well a website for you http://www.tiswasonline.com/ - ahhhh the memories lol. Always wanted to be on it as a kid. Never got the chance though. lol Anyways let me know what you think of this site.

Hope you have a good day.

Take care.

I got home. No post for me today. Yipppeee lol!

Wednesday 27th September 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are all well. I am feeling ok at the moment. Still miss the loving touch.

My Wednesday this week went at follows.

I got up at 5:30am and the usual, had a shave, filled my blog etc etc. I went to work still listening to the Pink CD.

Work was well, quite busy today. Had a couple of visitors, two from the office across the bridge and a visitor from a supplier. Was tasked with creating a form in Outlook. Turns out that having the 2003 version is a pain cause the person who needs the form has 2000. Grrrr. What fun although I suspect the problem is down to needing a reinstall than a compatibility issue.

Anyways leaving work 5 minutes late I then drove into town. I parked on the civic centre car park and walked in to the IT building at university and went to see the lecturer who I hope will be my supervising tutor this year. After about 20mins to half and hour and learning what I could do which is HCI and home entertainment - internet wise. I have got an idea now what I would like to do. So just got to read the guidelines and then formulate my plan of attack.

After that I then walked from the main uni campus to the main registry office and handed in the letter from my employer who is paying my fees.

After that I went and retrieved my car and drove to ASDA and got some bread, cooked meat, cat food, satsumas, bananas and a melon medley.

Then I drove home and put the shopping away. Swapped my trousers for my long shorts and after reading my email and post(which was left on top of the recycling bin - must complain to the post office to have that stopped) I then drove round me mums. I fixed my half brothers internet connection problem which was caused by the dial up modem card apparently. The PC eventually loaded a box asking me if I wished to ignore it. So i did. That sorted I then came home, rechecked my email. I had two toast and two boiled eggs for tea while I watched Celebrity Masterchef on BBC1. There was nothing on telly so I just surfed the internet chatting to the ex ex gf before I logged off, ironed a t-shirt, put the cats out and then went to bed.

For you I have a website. Like cooking??? Try http://www.deliaonline.com - home of british cook Delia Smith. Letme know what you think of this site.

Thank you. Hope you have a good day

Take care.

Tuesday 26th September 2006

Hi people,

It was a another day. Bit different today rofl.... well Uni got underway anyway. Feeling ok today. Not so low. Still feeling empty though.

I got up at 530am, had a shower, a mug of tea and three toast. I filled my blog in and and then did my packed lunch. Any grammatical errors are cause I am filling this in without my contact lenses in. Ithen got dressed and drove to work listening to Razorlight CD.

Work was very quiet today. Had one or two visitors and one task that required a bit more thought. Need some help(shock...horror lol). Eating my lunch I managed to spill tomato down my t-shirt. I then drove home listening to Pink's latest CD.

I got home and changed my t-shirt. I then read my post lol well it was a music book. I also read my email. Nothing interesting in there as usual. I then cooked mashed potato, sausages and peas with gravy and mint sauce. I fed the cats. Locked up and then I walked upto university. I bought an academic diary. Then I went to the project talk. Oh what fun that is going to be. First task is to find a supervising tutor but the project proposal has to be handed i on the 20th October by the latest. Gulp!!!!

I then walked home afte going into the library anf getting a book on Home informatics. Not the one I wanted but still it will do. I watched a bit of CSI Miami, rated a few tunes on Itunes and rechecked my email. Thats about it really.I then put the cats back out, ironed a t-shirt and went to bed.

For your delights a website: http://www.getsafeonline.com - if I havent posted this before thats ok. Please take a look especially if you are unsure of the risks of using the internet. Let me know what you think of this site.

Monday 25th September 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are all well. I am feeling ok at the moment although I was feeling low yesterday. Looking to form a new loving relationship with someone new.

My day went as follows.

I got up at 530am had a shave, filled in my blog had tea and malted milk biccies and then got dressed and went to work. I went to work via Maccy's as I had my bread for toast. The double bacon and egg mcmuffin is rubbish(what double bacon??? looked like a single portion). The hash browns were ok. Wanted a coffee but the machien was broken and ended up with orange juice instead.

Work was steady today. Work colleagues were ok too. My first day back after a week off. Had to do a large scanning job cause someone else was to busy to do it. The boss completed it. I have phoned Ste one of my brothers to see if he was in so I could drop my nephew's birthday present off. No one answered. I then drove home via ASDA the local supermarket. Got bread, cooked meat, satsumas and bananas and cat food.

I tried again when I had got back from work after reading my post. Nothing new interesting. Nothing in my email either.

I then went to drop my nephew's present off and was there an hour. It was quite hard really, as noone from my family was there but all from my sister-in-law's family. Was not happy on the way home to find they had closed off the road across Penn common again. grrrr.

I then had two toast and two eggs for tea. I watched Celebrity Masterchef on BBC1 followed by the back end of the Gadget Show on channel5. I then updated my podcasts and watched them. I also rated a few more tunes. I edited a few photos just removing marks in the sky etc. I then ironed a t-shirt for work before putting the cats out then I went to bed

After all that, a website for you. http://www.mopay.co.uk/ - recycle your mobile phone for money apparently. There was another site but it wasnt working just when i tried it. Take a look and let me know what you think about the site or your experience of it.

Thank you all for reading. Will post again tomorrow if i remember.

Byeeeeeeeee for today.

Weekend 23/24 September 2006

Hi readers,

It has been a sort of different weekend.

Saturday: Got up 5:30am. Got washed and dressed. Had a mug of tea and some malted milk biccies. Woke my brother up. I drove to the railway station and he drove my car home. I then got the train to Shrewsbury and then to Cardiff from there to see the ex-gf. I took a small box of her clothes to her. I stayed at her mums. The ex was not very happy most of the weekend as her heart is torn between two. At the end of the day though she wants her husband back only he's too easily led by his mates. For tea I had cauliflower cheese, ham and new potatoes followed by apple pie and custard. Watched the ex-gf's nephew's videos for the better part of the day. He has changed since I was last there - not so hyper, tried a little to pursuade him that he has to go to school after his original school was shut. and he had to go to a new one. Watched the lottery show on BBC1 and Casualty followed by the back end of Under Siege 2 with Stephen Seagal. Then I went to bed.

Sunday: Got up around half 8ish. Didn't sleep too well. Too warm, and not my own bed, plus a really noisy rain storm. We actually got out today, well to the newsagents next to where the ex-gf mum works. I got my nephew his birthday card and i got a newspaper..the Sunday Mail(shock....horror....i bought a paper) well it did a have a story on the front suggesting the UK kabour government was corrupt.....good they need kicking out. Say her nephew's karate video. He was picked up by his mum who didn't mention my contact lenses/eyes. Phew. lol. She was definitely too happy for a Sunday lol. Anyways eventually had dinner which was a pork chop with mash, carrots and sprouts with gravy. This was followed by apple pie. Saw the end of emmerdale omnibus and Eastenders omnibus before the ex-gf drove me back to the railway station. I walked into the railway station only to find the train I thought I as catching had been rescheduled 20minutes later. So I got bottle of water, had a BBQ steak pasty and got a couple of books from WHSMith. One on trains and another a magazine on Walking in Wales. I eventually got on the train upto Shrewbury made up of about 5 different multiple unit sets. Strange. But then at Shrewbury it apparently splits, half to Holyhead and the other half to Manchester. Anyways got my Train to Wolverhampton and I swear it left early by a few minutes. Got to Wolverhampton and my brother picked me and gave me a lift home. I read my email, ironed a t-shirt and put the cats out. I then went to bed.

Finally from me today a website for you: http://www.upmystreet.com - type in your postcode and find out what information it has on you local area.

Take a look and let me know what you think of the website.

Thank you and have a good day.

Regards.

Thursday 21st September 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are all well. If not...hope you get better soon.

At least I managed to get out of the house today. Here's how my day went.

I got up about 9am, had a quick wash and had a mug of tea. Got no bread at the moment so I can't have any toast. I read my email and again nothing interesting there.

My new digital music player has turned up twice the space as my old one. Just need to find a home for the other one somehow. Not impressed though with the charger - charges through the USB port on the computer......what??? It will take ages. No computer on holiday...wont be able to charge it...:( Unfortunately as it doesn't accept the firewire connection I can't use the charger from my old one. And apparently apple have just bought out an 80gb version. My new one is the 30gb one. My old one the 15gb. Not feeling too clever when I looked at the 80gb price.

Walked to the supermarket round the corner and got some bread, cat food, small plates, a bottle of water, mustard and brown sauce.

Had two boiled and eggs and two toast for breakfast and some malted milk biscuits....whistles loudly lol. Postman hasn't turned up yet. Put my macro lens on my digital camera so am planning to go out and take some photos.

Post turned up just after midday. Had the first country walking magazine of my subscription. There are maybe 3 or 4 walks in there that look localish. Then filled in my blog...late for me. lol

Took my backside off the chair and went to Cannock Chase near Milford and took some photographs there of leaves, bark and fallen branches. I then drove back via Essington Fruit Farm where I got a pork pie(again :) ), mushrooms, treacle tart, and a steak and ale pie - homemade. Try that with some mash tomorrow.

At least I have been out twice today. Now if only I can get the bikes sorted out.

I then printed some photographs off on the the photo printer of the Mawdachh Trail cycle ride a couple of weeks ago. Its been warm today and I am glad I have been out for a change. Had a bit of pork pie and one of those melon medley jobs. I have now filled the washing machine and the dishwasher and rated a few more tunes.

I then cooked my tea, which was pasta and mushrooms and a tomato and mushroom sauce(jar of) followed by some treacle tart.

I watched Celebrity Masterchef and that was it. There was nothing else on tonight worth my attention. I printed some more photos and rated a few more tunes. Watched and listened to a few podcasts like Real Stories and Goodnight Burbank. I also looked on ebay but there was nothing there I wanted. I also corrected some photos in elements 4 noticing some dust marks across the sky so corrected those with the clone tool. Think I may have bothced it a bit.

I then fed the cats their biscuits and put them outside. I then went to bed reading another 10pages of the lives of Tara Courtney in Rage. Slow process - big book, and a photography article.

A website for your perusal I know of is http://www.pledgebank.com - you create pledges or sign up to them. Take a look and let know what you think of this idea.

Thank for reading and hope you have a good day.

Regards.

Wednesday 20th September 2006

Hi readers,

Well Wednesday was really quiet. So this shouldn't be a long post. I have said that before though....

Anyways, Wednesday went really as follows;

Well I got up just before 9am. I had already read a couple of articles on photography and an article on Evolution - email software on Linux. I have had three toast and a mug of tea for my breakfast. I had a wash and got dressed. My bikes need sorting - air in the tyres on one and the seat on the other. I then read my email and tried some of the radio stations on Itunes and then watched and listened to the podcasts I downloaded a couple of days ago - namely rocketboom and comedy365.

The post turned up...surprise surprise before lunchtime. There were four pieces of post. My company's magazine, a letter from Sky asking me to join them but there are no proces in the literature....needless to say it was binned. Dont these people learn....we want the price. My bank statement and one other. I then rated a few more tracks on Itunes and read some more of the Images of Wales Royal Welch Fuseliers book.

Had beans on toast for dinner. Then rated a few more tunes and a bit more of the book. Was going to walk to the shops.... but I watched Midsomer Murders Part 2 instead bit strange. I then let the cats in and fed them their meat food.

I finished the book above and then rated a few more tunes. I cooked my tea and had sausages, mash and peas with gravy and mint sauce for tea with a glass of water while watching the news.

I watched Sky Cops on BBC1 and read an article in another Amateur Photographer magazine. Looked on ebay. I watched the news.... the top gear presenter Richard Hammond was in a serious accident. Wish him and his family well.

Put the cats out with their biscuit food, locked the door and went to bed.

And a website. Can't remember what it is about. http://www.boofey.com - take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Have fun.

Take care and I will post tomorrow hopefully.

Tuesday 19th September 2006

Hi,

Hope you readers are all well.

Well I think it might be a short post today as I really didn't go anywhere yesterday.

I woke up around 8am. I read the letters pages and some comment articles from an Amateur Photography magazine which I finished. I also read about Mozilla Firefox in a Linux magazine and decided to get out of bed.

I had a shower, and put the washing machine on. I then had a mug of tea with some shortbread, followed by a middle bacon and mushroom sandwich fried in olive oil(had to keep it healthy somehome) although there seemed to be a lot of smoke that kept setting off the smoke alarm......makes a change from the toaster.

Read my email from the 3 accounts. Nothing interesting as usual today, apart from Cd-wow having a 24hr sale but nothing on sale I particularly wanted. I then filled in my blog.

I have finished the Images of England Bridgnorth Revisited book. I then had a look at the publishers website, there's quite a few of these images books on there. I will add the website further down the post or click the date.

I rated some songs on Itunes as I listened to them. I start with 5 stars and then work my way down. I then had an egg custard follwed by soup and bread for dinner.

Read a usability paper and a couple of RSPB newletters that had been waiting for my attention. Got more to read.

I then watched Midsomer Murders on ITV1(in the afternoon?) and Diagnosis Murder on BBC1.

I was going to the take my racer out but I got as far as the garage and found it needed air in the tyres. The mountain bike needs the seat sorting out as it keeps moving. Tried putting air in the tyres of my racer but its like doing aerobic excercise with the hand pump. The tyres need 120psi. The valve doesnt really fit the racer innertube valve properly. Need a compressor.

For tea I had chips, southern fried chicken and curry sauce from the local chippy. I watched the end of celebrity masterchef, rated a few more tracks on Itunes and then watched Holby City and CSI Miami.

Today: news wise - military coup in Thailand...... ooooo errr!!! Riots in Hungary after the their leader admitted he lied.....what a plonker. Wonder when Blair will tell the truth???

Anyways, after putting the cats out and rating a few more tracks I went to bed.

And a website as promised - http://www.tempus-publishing.com - the images of england book series. They also do Wales, Scotland etc. Have a look and let me know what you think. You can even buy the books on that website.

Right off now. Hope you all have a good day.

Will post again soon,

Regards.

Monday 18th September 2006

Hi,

Well slowly edging towards Christmas... can't say I have seen any christmas stuff in the shops yet... which is a bit strange cause it usually appears about August.

I got up at 8am. Had a shave, got dressed and had tea, piece of shortbread and two boiled eggs and toast for breakfast. I then payed a bill. I rung the university up and asked them about getting my ID card. Then I rang Boots the chemist but alas the pharmacy was not answering the phone. I then filled in my blog and read my email. As usual nothing really interesting in my email today.

I walked(shock, horror...lol) upto the university to enrol. I even walked up the stairs. I did go via the cashpoint at the supermarket round the corner. I went to the room where they were doing the ID cards only to find I needed to go get photographs first. So back down the stairs and across the campus to the library building to get me photographs before returning to the room in the Millenium building to get my ID. I then went to the IT block and registered for an NUSextra ID card including using my photo from my blog as apparently I had to upload one to it as it is imprinted on the back of said card. After checking my email and printing off the payment receipt cause it cost £10 I then went to the sports centre in the students union and got my sports card which cost me another £21.

After that I walked to my normal barbers and got my hair cut before walking home via asda as I needed some margerine. I also bought a couple of egg custards and then walked home. This was not before I queried their pharmacist on whether I could buy the Allergan artificial tear over the counter. Apparently I can. £10 for a small box and £20 for a large box. I was suprisingly home in 2 and half hours.

Very warm and sunny today. At the end of today I had been to the toilet 5 times since yesterday...must be something more than a dodgy tummy.

Got to lunchtime and I updated my blog profile as I found it was slightly out of date. For dinner I had a doughnut, followed by tomato soup and bread followed by an egg custard. Now you know I need to do more excercise. :)

Did a bit of quick reseach on my uni subject for my dissertation. Its obviously a very new area being HCI and home informatics.

Went to Staples and got a whiteboard and markers and a new hole punch. I then noticed the tile store next door was having an half price sale, so I bought 6 boxes of tiles and grout and adhesive and spacers. I think I need a shed at some point. Not comments about my car lol.

I then let the cats in and fed them.

During the evening as nothing was on telly I was on the internet and talked to the ex ex gf. I also talked to my two halfbrothers in turn. I ended up buying on Itunes, Monster by Automatic, U + Ur Hand by Pink and I feel like dancin by the Scissor Sisters. I then bought the Automatic and Pink albums on amazon. I shall get the Scissor Sisters Album too. I also ended up with a new version of Itunes first which is a more blue than grey now on the left hand side and has radio stations. Which is good. If the track doesnt start too play ok, stop it and restart the track going back to the beginning of the song. That is my computer tip for the month.

Telly, on Monday night in the UK.....rubbish. Celebrity Masterchef was ok on BBC1 but that was all I watched.

A website now for you. http://www.mobileamnesty.co.uk - recycle you mobile phone here. :)

Let me know you views. thank you.

Have fun and thank you for taking time to read my blog. Post again soon.

Regards.

Sunday 17th Semptember 2006

Hi,

Hope you are all well. Sunday was a stay in day mostly. Here goes my day. I share a little bit from the books I read to help me remember what I have read.

Well before getting out of bed, I read 40 pages of Rage by Wilbur Smith. Set in 1952 in Africa. The main characters being Shasa, Tara and Centaine Courtney, Manfred de la Ray, Nelson Mandela, Jannie Smuts and Moses Gamma head of the ANC. So far Moses has shared pleasure with Tara, Shasa's wife. Who makes excuses to go see Moses. Moses is pursuading the youth of the ANC to more military action which is against the ANC's youth leader Mandela's wishes. Shasa is aiming for greater political power.

I then had a mug of tea and bit of shortbread after cleaning my teeth. I read a couple of photography articles and an article on the Linux desktop. Then I had a shower and put my contact lenses in. Have to clean my eye lids in warm boiled water with baby shampoo as I have dry eye. Hence the mug of tea rofl.

I then updated my blog on the Linux PC and updated it. Took ages to update. Then eventually I swapped back to the Windows PC after checking a spare one for someone only to find it has Linux on there.

In the morning after getting dressed i then went to the tip to take cardboard and plastic bottles and then to Waitrose for some bread, doughnuts(best jam ones there), and meat. I also got my contact lens soaking solution from the pharmacy.

Read over the afternoon/evening I read and finished and Images in England book on Bridgnorth. Quiet interesting, not much text except a short introduction on each chapter and some text under the photographs. I also finished the amatuer photography magazine i was reading in the living room. The classics to use article was on Contax cameras after the second world war. Read a few articles from photographers giving tips on certain techniques including autumn colours. There was a letter from a Steve Holdcroft in Cumbria but he isnt a relative. My brother of the same name lives in Dudley.

I also put the dishwasher on to keep on top of the saucepans.

For tea I had shoulder of lamb, mash with mustard in it and carrots and gravy. I fed the cats and cleaned up the cat biscuits outside the back door while i was cooking the lamb for my tea.

The Danery inn my work colleague has mentioned is at Quatford so if i find this village I can find this pub that does good food apparently.

Telly, I watched the Best of Top Gear on BBC2. Midsomer Murders on ITV1 and the top 30 telly bitches on channel 5.

And a website for you. http://www.the39dollarexperiment.com - you'll have to see this to se what the american who owns this site did. Talk about blagging.

Anyways, take a look and let me know what you think.

Have fun and take care.

Regards.

Saturday 16th September 2006

He people.

Hope you are all well. My Satruday went like this. Sadly still no female member of the opposite sex to spend my life with.

Still, I have been up now since 9:20am. I have sent a couple of text messages, got dressed and put me contact lenses in, had a wash, read my email, found nothing interesting there and had a mug of tea. I also filled in my blog. :)

I have then put some artificial tears in my eyes and drove to Essington Fruit Farm for some bits and pieces. I bought some shortbread, a fruit cake, a pork pie(with the jelly :) means going early on a Saturday morning to get this) some vine tomatoes, potatoes and some sausages, lettuce, bacon and red tomatoes etc. Then I drove home and put the shopping away.

I then cooked my breakfast which was the middle bacon and red onion fried in olive oil, sandwiched between two slices of fresh bread with brown sauce..... yummy!!! :)

I got to 1pm and had managed to read 50pages of the Da Vinci Code. The two main characters, Neveu and Langdon and their mate Teabing and his servant, have flown off to England together with the crooked albino monk who is trussed up. Followed by the French police. In a London church Teabing is kidnapped by the monk and one other. To tell you who this would spoil the book giving a clue to the ending. Finished reading the book. The ending seems a bit long winded. I won't say anymore now as it would really tell you the ending. The book is interesting and makes you think. Those of a nervous christian disposition should remember it is only a story - fiction.

For tea, I had shepperd's pie and peas. The shepperds pit I bought on a previous visit to the fruit farm. From frozen its about an hour and a quarter to cook. I also put the strawberries i bought today, in a dish with a liqueur called Broudar which is only available in Scotland. Its made from whiskey, honey and sloe berries. :)

I have watched on telly, the sports result, How to Solve a Problem like Maria, Bit of CSI, Parkinson on ITV - is it me or is he coming across drunk? He might have alzheimers.... leave you to ponder that one.

I then went to bed.

Before the website an anecdote taken from the RSPB email newsletter iget: A woman was shopping in her local supermarket recently. She saw a blackbird busily taking cherries from the open box on display and taking them under the potato counter to eat in peace. She watched hime make several trips. Seems if they took their slogan 'try something new today' literally. :)

A website for you to look at is: http://www.paramo.co.uk - a site for basically outdoor clothing. Take a look and let me hear your views.

Thank you and have a good day. :)

Friday 15th September 2006

Hi,

Its been a quiet old day. Pay day today. Not a fat lot left after paying the bills. But I don't mind.

I got up at 5:40am this morning. I had a shave, the usual tea and toast for breakfast and filled in my blog which took me longer than inspected. I did some rolls for lunch and then got dressed and drove to work listening to the Killers.

Work was a quiet day and nothing interesting happened. We only had two visitors from across the bridge. A delivery of paper. And the two engineers who popped in, one to fix a printer and the other to see the boss. Someone sent me a joke via email. After my near miss with HR the start of the year I shall not be forwarding them home. :( But if you have heard the one about the Love dress then you'll have heard it. Speaking of email I did email the Msc Computer Science tutor at Wolverhampton to get some information which she duly replied to before leaving work. Apparently term starts this comign Monday. :( But its freshers week fortunately so I have another week's grace.

Drove home via Dunelm Mill getting an uplighter, some bin bags, a long pillow case, a utensil holder and a couple of tall mugs. Well the last two in the shop anyway. Came to more than £21. Then I drove to the supermarket and got some fruit and some cat food. Then I drove home.

I read my email and there was nothing interesting there. There was later though on AOL email and email about the new Nintendo Wii. If I could afford one of them I would seriously get one. Stuff the Xbox 360 and the delayed PS3. Then opened the post. The alumni magazine from Coventry University. Three books on photoshop Elements. And my deodarant I had ordered online turned up too. The student loans company had returned my payslips as well. I think thats all of it.

I read another 50 pages of the Da Vinci Code today. The two main characters Neveu and Langdon are at a Mr Teabing's house discussing the Holy Grail. I wont spoil the surprise if you havent read the book yourself. The crook is almost upon them and so are the law. Who will get there first? I dunno will find out later but will not tell you.

I ate some melon melody and a packet of french fries before having a beefburger sandwich for tea. I watched the news on telly, then Celebrity Masterchef, follwed by question of Sport, Eastenders, whatever was on no BBC1 after that. Then swtiched to ITV shock....horror and watched Rebus. Ken Stott is the actor who defines Rebus according to the book not that young whipper snapper whoever it was the first time around. Then I saw a little of the Charlotte Church show before watching the end of the Steven Seagal film Belly of the Beast on channel 5. Eventually went to bed after a mug of Ovaltine. didnt help me sleep though. I was very restless.

A website for your delight today. http://www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk - take a look and let me know what you think. If any of my links dont appear to work click the date as that will take you to the site as well.

Thank you for reading and I shall post again laters.

Have a good day people. Stay well.

Regards.

Thursday 14th September 2006

Hi,

What a fun day....not!!!! It was raining on and off for most of the day and I got caught up in it twice.

Got up at 5:40am and had a shower. Had tea and toast for breakfast. Would have cereal and milk but the cold milk sometimes hurts me teeth. I filled in my blog and did my rolls for my packed lunch. I then got dressed and went to work, running to the car in the rain. First jumper day of the autumn....only to save me having to put on me waterproof jacket. Still got a bit wet. Still listening to the G N R(no not an old train company...rofl) CD in the car . Noticed it is scratched in places :( wait till I see my half brother.

Work was relatively steady and we only had one main visitor from across the bridge again. People we wouldnt see everyday that is. A colleague in an office next door seems to have had a big time style makoever. Certainly looks much better if it the same person. Went to the eye infirmary for my half 11 appointment. Was there an 80minutes after my appointment time before I got seen only to be told that the eye was slightly dryer than normal and was then prescribed thick artificial tears... Allergan Celluvisc...bet I can't get these over the counter. Returned to work, not before runnign through another rain shower and the river that was the path to car park. Wet again :( It was still relativerly quiet. Left at 3pm and returned home.

Got home, let cats in to wander about or as normal sleep. I then read my email. The post turned up....late I know....I was on the toilet at the time when the postie knocked the door. Was not impressed. Leant out the bedroom window and told him to just put it in the door. Only me little digital voice recorder turned up.

then read a bit more of the Da Vinci Code about 100pages for today in total. The two main suspects are still on the run while carrying out an investigation including driving through the redlight district in Paris, a park you'd rather not see and the people selling themselves are naked....yewwww!!!! lol They end up at a mates house with a couple of clues from the girls grandad. Interpol are now after them too. Now searching for the Holy Grail. Can't see eanything in this book so far that would upset the Catholic church. Afer all it is only astory. Won't tell you a lot as it would spoil the story should you read the book later.

For tea I had then had 3 boiled eggs and toast while watching the news on the telly. Read some articles from a photography magazine and a web magazine - which has supplied today's website.

Before putting the cats out and ironing a t-shirt for work tomorrow I then bought a new realtone for my mobile phone and then installed a track from a CD to my phone and it is now my ringtone. :) Its called Beer Run by Garth Brooks - appropriate for me a bloke rofl.

A website for you is http://www.fark.com and has lots of weird and wonderful stories according to the magazine.

Hope you all slept well. Have a good day. And let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Regards.

Wednesday 13th September 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are all well. Have a good day today.

Got up at 5:40am. Had a shave and had tea and toast for breakfast. I got dressed after filling in blog. Tokk bananas, oranges and a packet of French Fries for lunch. Still in the fridge at work.

Then I went to work still listening to the Guns N Roses Greatest Hits CD that I put in the car yesterday. They are slowly growing on me. As for work itself it was relatively busy today. I attended the bimonthly helath and safety meeting. Had to have lunch from the canteen due to shortage of rolls at home. Had one visitor from the main office today across the bridge.

Left at 3pm and came home via the supermarket. Got some bread and rolls. So at least it wont cost me four quid for lunch from the canteen. lol I put the dishwasher on and leaned part of a side in the kitchen and emptied the bin.

Finished the Trail magazine I was reading and also read another photography article on a scanner - if you have loads of negatives and a pot of dosh try the Epson V750 - apparently its really good so they say. In the Da Vinci Code I have got as far as page 200. The nun in the church has been killed and Neveau and Langdon have escaped the Louvre gallery and are now evading the French police. Its a good book though.

Ironed a t-shirt, put out the cats with their cat biscuits. Then I went to bed,

Before I go a website for you http://www.highlandwildlifepark.org - somewhere in Scotland. Especialy for one of my blog readers. :)

Thought: Arent you glad you dont live in Midsomer Worthing with all them murders rofl.

Ok I am off now. Hope you all have a good day. Please let me know what you think of the weblinks.

Thank you.

Tuesday 12th September 2006

Hi,

Well another day. Had to get up at 5:40am. On earlies this week now.

Had a shower and then had tea and toast for breakfast.

Filled in my blog and checked my email. Then did my packed lunch. I then got gressed and went to work swapping the CD in my car from Deacon Blue to Guns N Rooses. Well it was a quiet day in the end. My work colleague was off sick, or so his wife phoned in to say. We did have one real visitor from the 3rd floor. At least one director showed he his normal allowing me through a door first. lol. Boss was ok today.

When I left work I went to the eye infirmary. They had to make me an appointment to have my ingrowing eye lashes removed as otherwise it was a three hour wait. Three hours? Where all these people with eye emergencies come from? Thats what I want to know. I went in it was packed, I mean i wear contact lenses so should be seen. At least I can make an appointment now to get my eyes checked and the ingrowing eye lashes removed. Must remember my contact lens case o Thursday though.

My calf muscles are still a little sore after Sunday's walk. That is after I drank two bottles of Lucozade Hydro Active.

Got home and let cats in. Read my post which was just a flyer from Irish Ferries.

Playsed some electronic games like Defender and Gauntlet - they originated in the 1980s.

After reading a couplf of articles from a photography and trail magazine I read a few pages of the Davinci Code. Apparently the two investigatitative characters have made it to the Mona Lisa and understanding the museum curator's message.

For tea I had a tin of Chilli with some boiled rice. Saw Celebrity Masterchef on BBC1 - which Paul Young won that round. David Grant burnt the batter on his fish.... fished him off. Watched Holby City on BBC1 - crikey two women kissing. And a dodgy op using a pigs kidney. The patient is expected to oink off home lol. Also watched CSI Miami on channel 5 bit strange and you get the feeling they like bank robberies on CSE Miami... well it was one where some students followed a game for real... oh dear. Hope it just stays as a telly programme story.

Time for bed but a website: http://www.cravenpotholeclub.org - something I am too big to do...well wimpy rofl.

Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you and have a good day or night depending where you are.

Regards.

Monday 11th September 2006

Hi,

well another day another pound lol. Its hard to remember sometime to fill this in. Hence why sometimes i can go over a month without filling this in. Hopefully this will change.

Monday: Got up 7:40am. Had a shave and had tea and toast for breakfast.

I then got dressed and went to work. It was fairly busy today. Our antipodean colleague paid us a visit. And we had visits from a few other faces within the offices. My colleage in the same office had half a day off.

I left work just after 5pm and went to Merry Hill on the pretences of having an appointment in an opticians to have some ingrowing eye lashes removed. I got my nephew's birthday present, some deodarant and some handwash anda game. I also got my illuminous glow in the dark watch sorted - well it had a new battery fitted. I then went to Boots opticians as booked earlier in the day only to find they had spelt my name wrong and put down the wrong time. Not only that they spent 30 minutes discussing whether they were going to treat me. Then they said no cause it was a legal grey area and would upset the NHS opticians I was under. What rot!!!

I then had pie and chips from Harry Ramsdens plus a small cola before heading to my car and heading home.

When I got home I fed the cats, opened my post and ironed a t-shirt for work. I also read my email before going to bed.

A website for you http://www.sportbinox.com - useless binoculars desgined so you can walk and look through them at the same time. I wouldn't recommend it though.

Hope yuo all slept well and have a good day laters.

Sunday 10th September 2006

Hi,

Well a funny old day really.

Got up and had a shower. Followed this up with a mug of tea and a piece of shortbread biscuit.

Then went to the supermarket for the stuff for me sandwiches for work this week. Then tried garage round the corner to see if they could check my brakes but cant do this till Tuesday. Came home and cooked meself a sausage sandwich.

Then went round mums and picker up my half brother as we were off walking well 5miles anyway. Drove to Welshpool where we did a walk featured in a recent issue of Country Walking magazine. We beg to differ over the A490 as shown on the route card we had. I wore my new boots. Not sure if they are the right fit. Also tried out my new rucksack with the camelbak platypus water thingy. Need a lot of suck to get the water from it. The walk was an easy one and apart from the fact I wish I had worn me trainers it was ok. Very warm and sunny. Did have an helicopter flying over our heads taking people on short trips...a wood fair or something. After an ice cream and finishing off the packed lunch I drove home via mums for lunch. I also stopped in Welshpool for a tad more diesel and some Lucozade hydrowater drinks.

Got back home and havent done much really. I have throughout the day read articles from both Trail magazine and amateur photography magazine. The latter i completed reading. Now on another edition.

Oh yeah ordered a digital dictaphone, see if I cant post more posts on my blog.

Woh is me lol back to work tomorrow. Never mind.

A website - http://www.midgeforecast.co.uk - let me know what you think. It is aimed more at Scotland though.

Thank you and have fun.

Please let me have your comments.

Saturday 9th September 2006

Hi,

Have sent texts to ex-gf telling her that her stuff is ready to be collected if she ever gets round to fetching it. I even boxed it all up lol except the George Foreman grill because I am still using it....ooops. will have to get another one. :(

The ex ex is now not interested in me. Which I find annoying cause she said she was.

I have managed to read a photography article on rangefinder cameras before I got out of bed this morning. Now I am up need some tea and maybe toast. Which i have drunk and eaten.

Read my email too. Nothing even remotely interesting and two were spam.

Updated my ICQ Feesch profile.

Seeing if anyone of the single female variety notices me in chat today....nope. Oh well. Same old same old.

One lot of washing drying and one lot in the washing machine.

Just had a melon medley for lunch followed by a packetof crisps. Feel like a maccys but I will resist the temptation.

Read a few more articles, both walking and photography. Been out to Essington Fruit Farm and got a sheperds pie and a bara brith cake and some satsumas and mushrooms and tomatoes. Had to have some solpadeine before I went though as got an headache. Feeling better now though.

Had a couple of small chats in Lycos 30-something chat room. Nothing that would lead to a date though.

Well its been a funny old evening. I had to goto Castle Donnington and give my brother his spare car keys after he lost them there. Didnt do to bad...an hour there and an hour back. Roadworks on the M6 are a bit of a pain and they have these average speed cameras that work by seeing how long it takes to travel between the two. Still i got some money for diesel and a pint when we got back in the Newhampton.

Thats all for now time for bed. A website I hear you cry?

Well try http://www.nadolski.com a photographer's website and let me know what you think.

Thank you and good night. :) Have fun.

Sunday 3rd September 2006 part a

Hi,

I have been up since 7:30am. I have dried one lot of washing and now another lot is drying. The washing machine is also on its 2nd load. The dishwasher is on its first. I did a bit of tidying up and moved the plastic drawer set in my bedroom into a much better place.

The piece of furniture next to it i cleaned out most of the stuff on there. It will go to the tip eventually unless i can find a good home for it. No idea what it is but it has 3 shelves on the right. An open top bit on the left and two drawers underneath.

I have had a shower and got dressed. Had a sausage sandwich for breakfast and 2 mugs of tea so far.

Could have taken part in the Wolverhampton half cycle marathon but was not in the frame of mind to do it when I woke up this morning.

Read my email. Installed Mozilla's Thunderbird email client as the MS one seems to have gone funny since I installed IE7 and will not open links in emails. Also, TB had a message in the sent folder that apparently I sent that came out of nowhere to someone I dont know. That is worrying as it had an attachment I know not what.

Ordered some books from Amazon on Photoshop Elements 4. See if I can't bad photos good.

Finished reading a copy amateur photography magazine. Still reading the country walking magazine i started yesterday though.

Sent a couple of emails to the letters page of Amateur Photography. See if they get published.

Started reading another AP magazine.

Just took the mountain bike out for a nice gentleish 6miles ride. Needed the excercise. It was very windy out and there were loads of twigs and pine cones on the road. Glad they didnt damage my tyres although a brick nearly took out my rear wheel. Still got back in one piece.

Had pork chops, mash, baby carrots and green beans for tea.

Oh yeah goldstar www.icq.feesch.co.uk today. icq num 51691581

Cleaned the carpet underneath my desk with the carpet cleaner. Finshed reading the country walking magazine just before i had to take out one of my contact lenses. :(

Just watched Midspmer Murders on ITV. Off to bed now.

A website though http://www.ediblegear.com - apparently they do edible camping gear so Country Walking magazine say. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Hope things go well.

Saturday 2nd September 2006

Hi,

I have finished reading Terence Strong's Wheels of Fire. It is a good read. Not the most action packed of thrillers though. The reading is easy and there is enough about the characters to understand most of their personalities. There are one or two characters who you seem to wonder about, especially their motives. The book is set in the former Yugolsavia, where an ex-sas recruit is sent as Company Officer having to answer to a british spy who seems to have his own agenda. The books focuses around the movement of convoys through the different Yugoslav area owned by different militia's. There is a couple of love interests thrown in. Although my own opinion is that Tali van Wyck works for the CIA. If you read the book let me know what you think. See for more information see http://www.davidhigham.co.uk/html/Clients/Terence_Strong

I have also been to the posh supermarket Waitrose. Spent £22 and got £19 back from my lottery tickets. :)

Just had my dinner 3 boiled eggs and toast.

Been to the tip. Then to Comet and Currys looking for a turntable on its own. They hadn't got one. Call themselves electrical stores lol. Useless. Catalogued it.

Read a few articles from a walking magazine and a photography magazine. Not much on telly too watch. I really need to get out walking more but its quite windy today.

Watched the England football match. England won 5-0 against Andorra.

Then had tea from the chippy. And went with my cousin and brother down to the Newhampton pub for a couple of beers.

All in all a reasonable day.

Have fun.

Regards.

Friday 1st September 2006

Hi,

Well its been a few weeks since my last post. Here's some of the things that have happened.

I spent a week in Snowdonia in North Wales camping with my half brother. It didnt go to well that week. I got an infection which needed antibiotics. I was running to the toilet for the best part of three days. This was after trips on the Snowdon Mountain Railway and the FFestiniog Railway. For the best part of 3 or 4 days i didnt do much except shop. On the Thursday we went to LLechwedd Slate Caverns near Blaneau Ffestiniog. It was good but watch out if your tall. I liked the Ye olde sweet shop. Ahhh the memories lol. On the Fruday we had a daytrip to Dublin visiting the Guinness Storehouse and the Old Jameson's Distillery. Then a walk back to O' Connell Street and walked down to Grafton Street. Before returning to O Connell street for something to eat then getting the train back to Dun Laoighare to get the ferry home. Got back there way to early. And on arrival, had to take the bus to Dublin as the train services were suspended. Saturday we visited Caenarfon and Penrhyn Castles. The previous Saturday we ended up double pegging all the tents as we nearly lost the tent to a sever gust of wind. Sunday returned home. I can honestly say the Portaloo I had in the tent served it use well. My half brother got three computer games seeing as I hadnt been able to do three of the activities we had planned ie a couple of walks and a cycle ride.

Returned to work. Its relatively easy got a new task to do...well sort of. Still easyish though.

Last Monday took my other half brother and our bikes to Barmouth for a 20mile cycle ride along the Mawdachh Trail. Wasnt sure he could do it but he did. We came home after playing a bit of football on the beach. Took longer than expected to return but still we managed to get back. Also played him twice so far at badminton but lost, the second time had to take him shopping for a book which turned out to be an electronic game. My other half-brother was supposed to come with us to Barmouth for the cycle ride but he had to go play cricket.

Today. Work - on earlies. Troubleshooting mode as such as well as getting wires crossed. Still all sorted in the end. It was quiet in my normal part of the job. My carpet cleaner turned up today so done the hall. Certainly smells better. The amount of muck in the water....yuck. Thought it was 5 a side footie day today but no phone call... oh well.

Thats it for now. I must start filling this in more regularly again.

And as for my love life still dead as a dodo and totally single. :( oh well.

Have fun.

Regards.
