Tuesday 31st January 2006

Hi,

Well its been a quiet two days.

Monday: Work very quiet. Had to take mobile phone into shop to get it sent off to be repaired, once the phone network had emailed the shop to say i was taking it. This turned into an half conversation and in the end it was faxed over. grrrr!!! Find out the gf is not coming up this week, but wants me to go down to her the weekend. Dont mind the drive just wish she had come up here.

Tuesday: Not so quiet day just all over the place at work. Went to the supermarket, bought rolls, cooked meat and cat food, cereal and milk. Not feeling that happy today. My brother's car is currently bust. My cousin and his mate popped round to have a look. He thinks it is just a dodgy radiator. No uni results for the first semester have appeared yet. Must chase this up tomorrow with the university. grrrr!!!

Apart from that nothing interesting happened today.

A website for your perusal http://www.matti.usu.edu - its to do with mathematics aimed at kids I think. How it ended up on my list i'll never know.

Saturday 28th January 2006

Hi,

Well what a quiet day. I got up this morning. After a bit of quiet contemplation and trying not too feel too down that my gf wasn't coming up today I went to Bridgnorth. Spent more than i thought. But....the stall in the market selling coconut macaroons was there so I got a pack and a slab of rich fruit cake. yum yum. I got some meat from the butcher's there which is very good. Cider apple and pork sausages, lamb and mint sausages. mmmmmm. Got some fruit and veg from the market too.

Did learn today that cat litter comes in clumping and non-clumping. Got the latter to see if it stops one of my gf's cats crapping in my hallway by the front door.

Did a bit of cleaning too. cleaned the sink in the kitchen, dishwasher has been on twice and the washing machine once. Most of my clothes are now upstairs.

A website for today is http://www.openoffice.org - the current rival to MS Office suite. Unless of course lotus are releasing a new version of their office suite.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you and have fun.

Friday 27th January 2006

Hi,

Hope you are all well.

Its Friday, the weekend is almost here. Work today has been steady. Got to work, my colleague needed to take is car in for repair. There was a strange noise from mine so I followed him to the same place intending to get it checked then give him a lift back. The mechanic looked at it, drove it a 100 yards and told me it was the brakes. so we ended up walking back to work. Cost me £100 but, at least its done. Saved me from a serious accident as the brake discs were worn to the metal and hence the noise. Will run it tomorrow to Bridgnorth to make sure. Annoys me a little cause it was only MOT'd two months ago.

The website today is http://www.spam-uk.com home of the tinned canned meat. Let me know what you think.

Happy Mozart day.

Have fun.

Thursday 26th January 2006

Hi,

Well its bee three days.

Tuesday: Quiet day at work. No uni. Caught a program on telly about acupuncture. Seems to work for pain and inflammation but as for any other claims, the jury is still out. It was quiet an interesting programme.

Wednesday: Quietish day at work. My work colleague on a training course. I had an exam at university. I made a slight error. I knew i had to answer two questions. What i hadn't noticed was that two seperate answer books had to be used. I was bemused and a tad annoyed when i found out. I had had the question paper for two weeks as it was a seen exam but i had not noticed the line on the front of it.

Oh well.

Thursday: Work was ok. training day, my turn. easy to a point. Finished an hour ahead of the other two trainees. :) lol came home after finishing at my proper hour and now filling in my blog.

The website today is http://www.truthorfiction.com - as it says truth or fiction. Humourous stories about scams and that and the history behind them.

As for the rest of life. Came home, been quiet, cleaned the cat litter tray. Had my tea too.

Oh, also found out which cat is crapping in the hallway. Anyone any ideas how to sort this out? Please let me know as it is now a regular occurence.

The website today is http://www.lonelyplanet.com - the travel guide. does contain British countries but area wise very bad. :(

Hi,

Well its Sunday. Back to work tomorrow.

I have done a tiny amount of studying for the exam. One of the subjects was part of my coursework for another module. Just planning to do. I have also been birdwatching today. I went to the RSPB reserve at Sandwell Valley country park. Saw a few different species of bird. Filmed some of them with my DV camera. Well tried too, the sun was pointing from the wrong direction.

Came home, and had my tea. Watched a bit of telly. Thats about it really.

As for the website today, it is http://www.nfl.com - the home of American football.

Hi,

Hope all you blog readers are well.

Friday: Work was quiet again. Didnt go shopping, but I did go and play '5-a-side' football. It was more like 6 a side. We won all our games.

Today: Not much. Woke up and read a couple of articles from the two photography magazines I read. Had a shower. Spoke to my gf. Went to Bridgnorth for some shopping and picture taking. Visited the Bridgnorth station of the SVR(http://www.svr.co.uk). Came home. Watched a bit of telly, read some more articles. Made notes on subjects for exam next wednesday. Its more planning than revision.

As for the website.... it is http://www.privacy.org - site about privacy issues. Think Google in the news recently. I have no thoughts on this.....yet. There are fors and againsts.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you. Have a good day.

Saturday 14th January 2006

Hi,

Its the weekend at last. Phew. Been busy today so far. Before I went anywhere went to my local tip to get rid of cardboard and plastic bottles which they now have containers for.

Been to Bridgnorth for a walk, take some photos and filmed some birds if they didn't fly off. Bridgnorth is a nice Shropshire town in the UK. Filled the camera's card even before I crossed over the bridge. Walked up into High Town and bought a magazine, some veg, and something to eat; namely a cornish pasty and an apple doughnut. Yum yum.

Then walked back to the car and drive to Merry Hill shopping centre. Went to the jewellry store to get my watch strap shortened. Had to hang around for an hour. So went into some other shops, had a Starbucks cappucino and bought an x-box game for my gf. Hope she likes it. Although she may play my American Chopper game more lol. Got my watch back, grabbed some chips and a regular cola from harry ramsdens chippy. Ate the chips in the car and have just driven home.

And as for a website. http://www.historychannel.co.uk - or if in the US try .com It is the website for TV's history channel. No fancy stuff. :)

Let me know what you think.

Thank you and regards.

Friday 13th January 2006

Hi,

Its two days since my last post. Had a relatively quiet but busy day yesterday. Does that make sense?

Thursday: Went to work, it was quiet. Then went window shopping and tried to get my watch strap sorted but i have to wait till tomorrow to get it done. :( Then I went round my to one of my brother's house and had tea there. My niece and nephew are slowly growing up. The sister in law is shattered. Not one unbroken nights sleep in 3 months. My brother is ok. he was out running when i got there. He came in. I gave him my electronic guitar tuner and showed him how to tune his guitar. Played scalectrix with my nephew who always demanded to win. By the time i left I could also play Swing Low, Sweet Chariot - well the tune anyway.

Today: Quiet again at work. Apparently loads of training and work coming up. Uni work to do. Hope to finish the coursework over the weekend. If i can concentrate that is. My gf is not well at the mo and will be up on next week. Yippppeeeeee!!! Had a bath and cleaned up my operated on bit. Showers just dont do the job a soak can. Oh, and the local police have a new tactic now. The camera van is now a purple ford fiesta with the camera attached, i think it is more for number plate checking that for catching speeders. I thought at first it was an elbow sticking out of the car window.

Anyways, the website I have to day is http://www.onlineclassics.com and is a supplier of a few classical music CDs. From what i could see it was very disapointing.

Please let me know what you think.

Thank you and have fun.

Wednesday 11th January 2006

Hi,

I will start with chatting on msn messenger last night. I played my half brother at noughts and crosses and he lost. He also wants help connecting his PSP to his PC. My one brother needed help tuning his guitar, once i connected my webcam and headphone/microphone headset up I was able to help him get his guitar reasonably tuned. I will take my electronic tuner to him tomorrow. that should help.

Today, work was steady. One work colleague asked me for my spare mobile phone ages ago. I have now found this and he still wants it. Its a motorola 300 something or other with one of the worst charging lead connections I have come across.

Went to, uni. Apparently, the exam in two weeks is a senn exam, two questions in two hours. that means research to add to knowledge I already know. I am looking forward to it but i didnt do too well the last time i sat a seen exam.

Comment/thought: MSN messenger allows free voice chat. Does this mean mobile phone companies need to reduce their charges or face takeover from the likes of Microsoft?

Deal in local supermarket. Large jar of normal pickled onions was £1.17 now 59p :)

The website today is http://www.pcguide.com - it is supposed to be a detailed PC reference guide. I am not convinced. I would like your thoughts on this.

Have fun.

Regards.

Tuesday 10th January 2006

Hi,

Well a quietish day at work today. Didnt really venture from the office to other offices. Work will get busier as the week goes on. Mind you did get a free bacon and egg sandwhich at work cause it was someone birthday.

Didnt need to go to uni. Coursework due in next week for todays subject and that endeth this module.

No post either. Very quiet today.

Here's a question: Is the internet really as free as possible? Does freedom of speech without being flamed exist? Let me know what you think.

The website today is http://www.awn.com - animation world network. Please let me know if this fulfils the title, as my quick examination of the site decided it didnt.

Thank you and I look forward to your comments.

Have fun.

Regards.

Monday 9th January 2006

Hi,

Well another week another day. My operatied on bits are ok, maybe a little sore at times.

Work was ok. I got told off today though. I had emailed the chief executive of the local NHS trust complaining vociferously about charging patients to watch tv. I had used my email address at work. Ooops. Fortunately I had made it clear it was a personal opinion, after the initial email. The crud hit the fan a little. It caused a right kerfuffle apparently in PR. Oh well. Silly me. Anyways i will get a letter off the company of the meeting I had with HR and a copy of the IT policy. I dont mind. Although I should really debate the issue of freedom of speech. In hindsight I should have used my uni email addres as I can access that at work.

The gf is due back Friday. hurray.

Uni is starting up again this week and I have coursework to do for a week on Friday and an exam two weeks Wednesday.

Need a domain name(web address) and/or web hosting? try http://www.netsol.com - you will have to pay though.

Let me know what you think of my comments etc.

Thank you and have fun.

Regards.

Sunday 8th January 2006

Hi,

Been to the supermarket this morning. Doing a little reading, and updating my blogs. Feeling a bit sore and my back is a bit stiff.

News: Charles Kennedy...no surprise there. Four cyclists killed in north wales...must be extra careful if ever i am cycling round there. Hope the car driver is prosecuted and jailed. Tony Bank - stroke - very ill....doesnt really bother me, just another former politician. Iraq....what a mess...obviously Bush and Blair are to blame. FACup...crikey what a fight of it some of the smaller teams have made. Japan and snow....how much they had??? mind you i can't comment as I dont know anything about Japan and its weather.

Website today is http://www.bionicle.com - its aimed at kids i think and contains games and downloads. Its part of the lego company. If anyone knows what Bionicle is about please let me know.

Thank you.

Have fun.

Saturday 7th January 2006

Hi,

Its the weekend. I got up latish today. Mind you it was dark outside. Had a bath and then went out to Bridgnorth for a wander. It was ok there. I only really bought an internet magazine and some cat treats. and an apple doughnut from Whitneys the bakers there. Went round the market but nothing i need at the moment.

News: Charles Kennedy....will he never learn, most of his party are against him. Ms Dynamite on assault charge...dont like her anyway. Underground staff to go on strike in London...over a rota change? why... Bird Flu....is it really as bad as the media make out...after all there have only been a few cases. Google to sell video online....sounds like a good idea to me.

The website i offer on this post is http://www.dosgames.com - games you can play but are dos based. For those who wonder what i am on about, go start, run enter cmd and press the enter key. what comes up is what was once known as DOS. Follow the instructions to play in the readme files.

Have fun and let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Friday 6th January 2006

Hi,

Today has been a slightly busier day at work. The gf is not coming back up till next Friday.

As for the news: nothing really new - the Prime Minister of Israel is in Hospital. Think that might be bad for the peace process depending on who takes over from him.
Big Brother - celebrity version has started...oh dear. George Galloway? no... Dennis Rodman....no Tracey Bingham....who? Maggot...Who? Pete Burns...one face lift too many Michael barrymore...err why? Samuel someone or other....who? Rula Lenska...way too old. Jodie Marsh...worth watching. Faria Alam...grrrr!!! Bring back normal telly.
Charles Kennedy Lib Dem party leader - drunkard. oh dear. Can't stay as leader now.
Wolverhampton NHS Trust - charge patients £3.50 a day to watch TV. Thats one big bill if your in there for a few months. What a flaming cheek. The chief executive of the trust thought i was writing on behalf of me company, as I was so incensed at the cheek I emailed him str8 away from work. Silly me. I have emailed him since saying it was a personal opinion. Theiving git.

a website? ahhh. You know that Twain word you see associated especially with scanners you can find out all about it at http://www.twain.org

Have fun.

Thursday 5th January 2006

Hi,

Well it is Thursday. Another week nearly over.

Went to work today. The operated on area is a bit sore. Found out yesterday that apparently they put a tube down your throat so you can breathe on a ventilator while you are uinder anaesthetic which explains the sore throat.

Went to work. It was quite quiet and easy today. Found out my colleague has to get his garage door fixed as the spring broke on him yesterday lol. I have had no surprises today apart from a mobile bill.

No other post really. Think I will have a bath in a bit.

The website I am listing today is http://www.funnygames.nl - yep its a games website although most of it is in Dutch. I tried the table tennis and found it playable but hard.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you and have a good day.

Tuesday 3rd January 2006

Hi,

Happy belated new year to all my blog readers. :) Hope you all had a good holiday.

I have been for a small operation today. A circumcision to be exact. Ouch!!! Its a unique experience, the operation that is. You get given the anaesthetic and within a few seconds your out like a light. You dont even notice the operation. Nice nurses :) at New Cross hospital with the exception of one old one who told me to wait a minute and didnt even look at me.

I am home now. Phew. My brother-in-law bought me back. I have had pie chips and curry sauce for tea cause i starving as i have only had a sandwhich since yesterday.

So the website today is http://www.digitalblasphemy.com and is about 3d rendering and wallpapers. Be warned to view the pictures, it is a pay site.

Let me know if you find this site any good or you have a better description.

Thank you.

Monday 2nd January 2006

Hi,

Well what a fun new year it is turning out to be. The gf has gone to her brother's for two weeks as her hubby is on the stalking path cause she wont go back to him. He his threatening everyone. Unfortunately, the courts will only move quicker if her carries on like that to grant her a divorce. Not only that, his dad is involved, and guess what, that makes him an accessory to any illegal thing he attempts. He should move on and get on with his life but he wont. Everybody else would.

I have been to Ironbridge today near Telford and took some photos. If I can remember how to upload them.

I have a seperate blog now for website commentary. http://robertuk702.wordpress.com

A good website if you like your famous artists is http://www.michelangelo.com/buonarroti.html it is easy to use. Have a look and learn something new.

:)

Have fun.

Lets hope things improve.
