Tuesday 31st October 2006

Hi people.

Well it is halloween...yawn or should that be all Hallow's eve. Anyways its been a bit more chilly here today. Need a jumper tomorrow. I still have my chest infection. grrr!!! Wish it would clear up.

I drove to work today. Still listening to Alison Krauss in the car. Work was quiet, the boss was off. No tales to tell. When I left I drove home via the supermarket...seemed really busy today for some reason. Dont know where everyone had come from.

I came home, read the post and my email. Had a steak and kidney pie for tea with some bread. Watched a bit of Eastenders on BBC1 and Watchdog. Also watched a bit of CSI Miami on channel 5. I also read one or two rail modelling articles. And 100pages of the Wilbur Smith book Rage where the first demonstrations against apartheid have taken place. Moses Gama is whisked off to Russia for training, while other ANC leaders have been arrested. There was an horrific scene during the demonstration Moses Gama took part in and you will have to read the book to see for yourself. Tara Courtney is still sleeping with Moses on and off and he is also slseeping every now and again with his wife. Shasa, Tara's husband is sleeping with a news journalist.... its goes on and on. Tara gave birth to the baby she was carrying and is now sidling upto her husband as she gave he baby away, although no sexual relations.

Speaking of which, my love life is dead at this moment. I seem calm at the moment even though I have a lot of uni work to do, well mostly reading. Just awaiting the outcome from my project proposal which could be a few more weeks.

And with that, I will be off to bed in a sec, but if you are looking for a job try http://www.redgoldfish.co.uk - take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you for reading and I will post again soon. I think you can RSS feed my blog to check when I have updated it :)

good night people.

Monday 30th October 2006

Hi people,

Well, I thought I would have a change of font colour today so I have. I still have a chest infection.

I am all for being environmentally friendly BUT not when its puts the price of car fuel up, I mean how many changes of train?? And at the weekend its worse when they use buses instead.... go figure. lol I like my car - its more convenient. I have a bike but I cannot use it at the moment because of the infection. When it has gone I can get back on it.

Anyways enough of my rantings... today I was on the 9 to 5 hours. It was a quietish day apart from picking up the overall admin boss' car from the garage. It was a Volvo and the garage had somehow got the seat right up against the steering wheel. I couldnt find the button to push it back when I was sitting on it. Turns out its the one that raises and lowers it and I hadnt found you push it back and forwards to move the seat forward....still... Nothing interesting happened today although I did share out some of my chocolate cakes I made yesterday.

I drove home listening to Alison Krauss and Union Station. I had boiled eggs and toast for tea. I have read a couple of articles and an article for uni. Quicker than last night. I watched an episode of CSI Miami called Wannabe about a man who is killed by a mobster.... but a key piece of evidence is nicked by a wannbe CSI.

I read my emails. Am now filling in the blog. Oh, I did get a parcel from the next door neighbour, but the postie forgot to put a note through my door saying where it was or that he had even tried to deliver it....grrrr whatever happened to customer service.

I have also rated a few tracks on Itunes and.... updated XP...well installed the new version of IE. Tabbed browsing fine...but it had better be secure.

And with that website time - http://www.ilovejackdaniels.com/cheat-sheets - I think its some kind of IT blog. Take a look and let me know what you think about it.

Thank you.

Good night.

Sunday 29th Octobert 2006

Hi readers,

Its is Sunday.... clocks went back an hour last night... a bit annoying in some respects cause I would rather it got darker later. I still have my chest infection :(

Anyways, today, I have been to the tip to take the cardboard for recycling, and to ASDA to get some food shopping. Spent less than I thought. This afternoon I have made some rock cakes - chocolate flavour. Seem to have come out ok. I had to beefburgers, mash with mustard and peas for tea.

I have finished reading a webuser magazine. I have a read an article towards my uni course.

And watched on telly a bit of the snooker, Countryfile - they were in the Menai Straits today. On DVD I watched two episodes of CSI Miami, the first Invasion about a burglary where the father is kidnapped and suspected dead and Money for Nothing about an armed car robbery. I wont say any more cause it will spoil it gor those who havent seen the episodes.

I have also read my email. Nothing interesting. I joined del.icio.us website and have thanks to webuser found some pinball cheats. Stumble upon toolbar as bought up some interesting sites especially the one with the curveball flash game.... good!!!

And a website for you is http://www.bananatv.com - a telly website. Think it may require a subscription from my quick look. Please let me have your comments on this site.

Thank you. I am off to bed now.

Nite nite.

Saturday 28th October 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are well. I still have the chest infection. :(

Today well, I have done a couple of loads of washing. Stripped and made my bed. Watched 4 episodes of the BBC program Click on my Linux PC while it was carrying out some updates.

I took my half-brother to his mates in Walsall. Errr got lost. Not an easy town to find your way around. Then came home via the motorway.

My footie team drew 2-2. Listened and rated a few tunes. Watched Strictly come Dancing and the lottery show on BBC1. Also saw Robin Hood. My cousin popped rounf with my brother as my brother was taking him home onthe way out. On DVD I have watched two episodes of CSI Miami. Star Burn and Stalkarazzi. The first set in the everglades during a major fire and two bodies are found and then the 2nd was a celebrity photographer who was murdered. This led to them finding evidence of a second murder but I wont give the game away.

I am off to bed in as sec but first a website for you. http://www.stumbleupon.com - installs a toolbar that suggests websites to you based on your preferences. Take a look and if you use it let me have your comments on this.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to your comments.

Byeeee for now.

Friday 27th October 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are all well. I still have a chest infection.

Today I have been to work this morning. It was a quieter day than yesterday. In fact nothing interesting happened today. On the trip to town I had to go and deposit some money into the bank.

After work I went round my mums and sorted out some presents for both birthdays and christmas. I know its early but I want it out the way. Thats my a brother's sorted anyway.... so far.

I then drove home. I read my email. Nothing of important to note. I read my post, mostly junkmail and a parcel of things I had ordered all Alison Krauss and Union Station related. Finally got a call back at work this morning saying when the courier would deliver them.

I have watched on telly; Eastenders...its getting tedious, Green Green Grass - fairly funny and Have a I got news for you... very funny.

On DVD I watched an episode of CSI Miami called Blood Moon - where a cigar shop owner was killed only to find he had stolen his identity. Then there is the man shot dead next to a cash point. Its an ok episode and fairly straight forward. If you see this let me know what you think.

The website for you today is http://www.ilikemusic.com - a site about music. Take a look and let me know what you think about the site and its content.

Thank you for reading. Please let me have your comments.

Have fun and will post again soon. Hopefully tomorrow.

Thursday 26th October 2006

Hi People,

Hope you are well. Still have the chest infection. Should foreign lorry drivers be allowed to drive in the UK? No. A third are breaching the laws and endangering public safety. Companies employing these should be ashamed of themselves.

As for my day. Got up 530am. Went through all the normal kerfuffle and then drove to work via the sorting office has I had to pick up some parcels first. Well a couple of DVDs anyway. Work was quieter today. Got everything done although the posting machine played up for a while. Nothing interesting happened today.

I came home, had another parcel which is a xmas present. Its a start....phew!!! I then watched Gangs of New York on DVD - i have had it about 12months and its the first time I have watched it. It was ok. Seemed rather drawn out at times. Bill Cutter is one eck of a sadist and evil character. Really nasty. Its about Amsterdam Vallon trying to get revenge. He does the girl I will say that about it. If you have seen it let me know what you think about it.

I also watched Coast on BBC2 after having boiled eggs and toast for tea. Coast featured the chalky area on the UK south coast today. The chalk cliffs are disappearing faster than scientists first thought. I also watched the Catherine Tate show - which was fairly funny, but I thought the office worker trying to do things she couldnt 3 times was a bit too much and she could have found a different character and sketches to do.

A website for you today is: http://www.pandasoftware.com/ - is a site selling security software. It does have some trial software. If you ever try it or take a look at the site please let me know what you think of it.

Thank you.

Byeeee for now.

Wednesday 25th October 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are well. I still have a chest infection. My cold has cleared up though. Still driving to work this week.

Today well... I got up at 530am, had a shave, the usual etc. Drove to work without the radio on.

Work was well continuous today is the best way to describe it. No mishaps anyways. One bosses birthday today and he got the breakfast sarnies in. The printer stuff I wasnt going to get was delivered today - well most of it... my reply email must have gotten through to the customer service brain of the people who service the printers where I work. The drawing office was quiet... finished the other letter that was going out this week, so its the folders the last two days of the week. The controlling company will have a new chief executive, although this person doesnt start till March the stock market are already trying to tell her how to do her job. Dont think the person will need any advice if this person is as good as they say. Wish it was me but alas its not. After work came home to find one letter for me and some cards to say parcels awaiting pick up so will get em in the morning before work.

Watched a program on foreign lorry drivers and how dangerous their lorries and they are... cause they flout all the regulations and laws. Grrrr!!! Listened to a few tunes while I read an article for uni coursework, a little relevant but I can do some more research via citation chaining. It would bore you to tears if i told you what the paper was on.

Updated my blogs and read my email too. Remembered to renew my library book as well. :)

Ahh yes I made some rock cakes, forgot the sugar but put some coffee in, not enough though :( still its a good try and they are eatable.

And a website for you :) need a calendar? try http://www.30boxes.com - strange address but take a look and let me know what you think of it. If you have a comment or a description of it please send them to me.

Thank you for reading. I am off to bed. :)

Oh yeah i am on myspace too http://www.myspace.com/robfun702

Tuesday 24th October 2006

Hi People,

Hope you are well.

I still have a chest infection. Just having a mug of tea before I go to bed.

Today, I got up at 530am etc and when I went to work I used me car. Work today was long, and busyish. I did one hours overtime, and apparently we have got to do some more of those folders I might of mentioned in some previous posts a few weeks ago. They have to be done before the end of the week and my work colleague is on holiday. :( Still...... we are good at performing miracles plus some extra letters that had to be sent out.

Once I got the letters to start printing I then came home. No punctures today either. I did go to the supermarket first to get bread, fruit etc. Shouldnt have to go again before the end of the week. Had a Fray Bentos pie for tea...steak and kidney. It was ok.

Watched Holby City after reading my email and checking my myspace account. Ordered one christmas present so far...only 9 to go. Finished off a country walking magazine while my brother was on the internet.

I am feeling tired so I am going to bed in a min.

First though a website for your http://neris.mii.lt/homepage/lietuva.html - it is about Lithuania where the only person currently on my ICQ messenger list is from. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you for reading and hope you have a good night.

Monday 23rd October 2006

Hello there people,

Hope you are all well. May I sleep better tonight than last night. Here is how my Monday has been. Still got the cold and chest infection by the way.

The cold is getting better at least.

Got up at 530am this morning. The usual shave, breakfast, packed lunch for work and got dressed. Trousers on before I go to work this time as I used the car this morning. Four days out of five last week I used the bike :)

Work was reasonably steady. Had one or two people wander through the office. The best bit was the bit when I have to go do a task that requires me to use the company car... or my bosses which is the norm. Got a puncture 300yards from work... had to ring him and get him to come out and help me change the tyre. Now I thought I had hit the kerb on the corner on the ring road, but it turns out I had gone over something and it had put a piece of metal in the tyre... suprised I got as far as I did. Still it was something different. Didn't like the jack in his car though, or the fact the spare tyre is only a temporary one....whats the point of that? Oh and my work colleague is off all this week otherwise he would have come down the road to help me change it.

Anyways, I came home after I finished work, read my email, finished reading a Birdwatching magazine. Watched the holiday program on the telly and it featured Lithainia. Well it didnt show much of it.... which was a bit of let down. Still.... looks nice enough place to visit....plus I have a friend over there I chat to on ICQ.

It seems a bit quieter tonight fireworks wise and party wise phew...well so far anyway so I am going to bed.

A website for your perusal is http://www.discover.com - a science/technological magazine. Take a look and let me know what you think of it.

Thank you for reading. Please let me have your comments. :)

Have a good night.

Sunday 22nd October 2006

Hi people,

Hope you all hada better Sunday than me.

Here's how it went.

Got up around 9am. Read a few magazine articles throughout the day on various areas like photography(APOY competition results for the month the magazine related too - thought the 3rd place should have been 1st), walking(finished one country walking magazine then started on another, both of which had some good walks in. The one I am currently reading talked about the Anglesey coast path - part of which I would like to try next time I am camping in North Wales. There was also a Shropshire walk in the walk guides section although when I double checked it it said it was challenging :( there was also discussion of the best bits of our national trails - some of these I would like to do to). Then there was a Linux article just discussing some point about Open Office.org. And finally a magazine on Birds which I have nearly finished reading and so far it has described in detail the difference between the four shearwater variaties. This magazine also is changing editor. It the May edition and I still havent finished it yet.

I did send my brother out as I had a cold and chest infection for some tissues. Felt really crappy today and my eyes were sore.

For telly entertainment I watched an episode of CSI Ny and 3 episodes from season 2 of CSI Miami, including the one with the woman in the bay attacked by a shark, a doctor who was hanged and one other which was a woman who seeked extreme thrills. As for TV itself well its Sunday and there was only the program where a vet followed 3 ospreys on their migration. I won't spoil it for those who missed it.

Had mashed potatoe with cream of horseradish mixed in and southern fried chicken and peas. Eventually went to bed. And slept fitfully for the first two hours but then a few doors up some irresponsible, disrespectful neighbour had a party that started at midnight. I didn't get back to sleep till 3am. It wasnt helped by my sinuses. Oh well... if they do it again, there will be a phone call to the environmental health dept as they have greater powers than the police to deal with them re noise.

Time now for the website - http://www.perplexcity.com - its do with some kind of game. Take a look and let me know what you think of the site and what the site is about.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to your comments.

Byeeeee for now.

Saturday 21st October 2006

Hi people,

Well I remembered to post today :)

Hope you are all well. I am suffering like a cramp thing across the bottom of my stomach, top of my abdomen. Hope it eases off and stays off. It keeps coming back though when I sit down. I have a chest infection/cold too at the moment. Got a lemsip on the go at the moment.

Well I did not much today. I got up, read a few articles from various magazines, read a few pages from the Wilbur Smith book Rage - Moses Gama is getting married and Shasa Courtney has been hunting with his sons when they find a girl up a tree. They find her parents bodies a few yards away, they had been mauled by a lion. Anyways Shasa gets the girl down from the tree and sends for help for her. After that he and his son Garry hunt the lion. Thats really all I have read today.

I have been to Asda and got some bread and catfood and fruit.

I have watched CSI Miami - Big Brother episode and CSI NY season 2 episode one on DVD. I have seen Robin Hood on telly and Strictly Come Dancing.

Have ordered from Amazon the CSI NY Season 2 box sets cause it says buy one get one free. Need Amazon to confirm this though.

I rang NHSDirect just and they will ring me back in the next couple of hours to discuss my problem.... seems to have subsided as I write this but feels like it could come back.

And its the Diwali fireworks tonight....blooming noisy they are. Don't they realise people have animals. They have been going off continuously for four hours. How do they afford all these?

Anyways, a website for you today is... http://www.watergatebay.co.uk - about hotel accomodation and extreme sports in Cornwall. Take a look and let me know what you think about it.

Thank you for reading. I will post again soon.

Byeee for now.

Friday 20th October 2006

Hi people,

Its been two weeks since I updated my blog. I suffer from an inability to do it every day, as in I either get distracted or I forget. Once I forget I then have to build my psyche back up to do it everyday.

So whats happened in the last two weeks? Well the usual. On earlies last week and been on normal days this week. I used the car all last week. I cycled to work everyday this week except Wednesday :) Hope the weight starts coming off. Its not too difficult either. Hope I can do it next week when I am on earlies.

Pay day came and went and am now boracic again. I only mind when I can't escape the house and go places. Mind you the train services on the weekend over autumn and winter are dire. Change here change there and oh..... its a bus service... stuff that I say. The thieving government should reduce fuel duty because they will never have a public transport system that will work as it is expected and at the weekend you got to use a car anyway mostly especially over the autumn and winter months.

I am still single for those women who are interested :) is there anyone there?

Uni is slow going... got the research to read and emailed my project proposal after finding it frustrating trying to hand it in to the university's registry office. I am a part-time student and I find this ridiculous. Fortunately I finish early well 3pm and should make it to the registry office to hand it in the hard copy.

Just been having a sort out well in the living room anyways, still loads to do. Been spending more than I should...silly me. I should know better still... you only live once. lol At least where I work we have the share save scheme so I do save something. :)

It was my niece's birthday Wednesday so popped round to drop her present off. The sister-in-law wasnt too well and they are all off on holiday soon. I had been round their house Saturday sorting my brother's computer out. Getting Windows onto his C: drive. They treated me to a curry. :) yum yum.

The last couple of days have been hard at work. There have been one or two consumable problems, printers broke down and me almost tearing me hair out at one stage especially today. Still got there in the end all sorted.

Finished off three Amateur Photography magazines today. Yippee. Need to catch up. Finished the Coast book from the National Trust yesterday, the photography is excellent.

Well I am off to bed in a minute if my cough lets me. Got tickly throat with all this blooming dust.

Ah aha. A website. hmmm http://www.thelowry.com - a Manchester arts and entertainment centre. Take a look at the website and let me know what you think.

Thank you for reading.

Please let me have your comments. I would love to hear from you. :) Will try and remember to post tomorrow.

Night night for now.

Thursday 5th October 2006

Hello people,

Well what a fun week...not lol

My day when like this. Got up at 7am. Had a shave, mug of tea and toast for breakfast, read my email, sorted out some other bits and pieces and filled in my blog. Did my packed lunch, got dressed and went to work on my bike. It was wet and a little rainy. I was a bit wet when I got to work. Still i eventually got into my trousers there once the female work colleagues had left the office. It was very busy today. Kept on top of it. Still looks like overtime the weekend. Just beforel leaving had a visitor who made some joke and then before we could comment said she was getting married. Congratulations to her. Another good woman bites the dust.

I left wotk and cycled home. It wasn't raining but the roads were still wet. I eventually got home. I opened up my post. Nothing really interesting as usual.

I read my email and surf the internet most of the evening. Had two toast and two boiled eggs for tea while chatting on the net. Eventually went to bed, but by the time I had put the cats out, it was after midnight. Oh well.

I have another websites for you is http://www.eaglelady.com - she photographs eagles. Take a look and let me know what you think. Or any other comments you have.

Wednesday 4th October 2006

Hi people,

Hope you all well.

Wednesday went like this for me. Got up at 7:30am. Had a shower, ream my email had a mug of tea and 3 toast. Did my packed lunch, got dressed, and.....went to work on my racer. Shock horror. Left the car at home. Well I need the excercise.

Work was busyish again. Some people just like to cause you more work. Too fussy. At lunchtime did four more mile on the racer with my work colleague. When I left work I used the mountain bike as the roads round here are really bad.....what on earth is the council spending money on out of its transport budget? hmmm....trams theiving gits. If I come off my bike cause oftheir bad roads, it will cost em.

Anyways I got home, read my email, had a small chat to someone on the net in the states. I also found out from my brother thats one of my car tyres is flat. Strange.... anyways, after reading my post and feeding the cats, thought one was dead this morning as I heard a loud screech from one round the front of the house this morning....alas no. I walked to ASDA and got a few bits and pieces including bread and some cat food.

Once I got home i spent another night faffing on the net. I did read one of those research article though :) phew. I have started. at last. :)

Eventually after another chat on the internet after midnight...again i went to bed.

For the website today.... http://www.factmonster.com - check it out and tell me what you think of it. Thank you.

I am off to work now now I have caught up. Have a good day people.

Tuesday 3rd October 2006

Hi people,

hope you are all well.

My Tuesday was fairly busy. Got up at half 7. Hadnt slept too well again. Had a shave, tea and two toast with two boiled eggs for breakfast. Then I drove to work listening to the Scissor Sisters.

Work was very busy today, nearly lost something but we found it.

When i finished at the end of the day I drove home. I checked my email and read any post I had. Nothing interesting. I then walked upto the university and spent just under an hour getting research papers off the net for my Masters project. Hadnt had to do much searching. Still one digital library to go through though.

Then I walked home via ASDA. Had half a chicken for tea. Trying to lose weight. Need to lose it. I then spent most of the evening on the internet. And it was after midnight when I went to bed.

For you a website :) http://www.everyobject.net - information, perhaps some funny stories on everyday objects. Take a look and let me know what your think. Thank you.

Take care and hope you all have a good day.

Monday 2nd October 2006

Hiya People,

Well what a different weekend I had. Didnt get any uni work done. Was eitehr srufing the internet, round me mums for 3 hours Saturday then ASDA and work for 4hours on Sunday. Thats it really. Mentally my mind seems real hyper at the mo. Think i need to cut down the caffeine.

Anyways, my Monday went as follows, got up at 7:30am....shock. lol Had a shower, had tea and toast and filled in my blog. Then i did my packed lunch and went to work listening to the Scissor sisters Ta Dah album the 2nd CD from the limited edition. Work was busy as we had these 250folders to complete. Apparently the other 200 are due a week Friday gulp!!! lol Should be done. The time seemed to drag on and before we knew it it was lunchtime. After lunch got our main work completed. Seemed to take longer than i thought. Anyways left just after 5. Went to ASDA for some bread bananas and the like. Then came home and opened me post not much really except the usual junk mail.

Then i surfed the net most of the night. Chatting to people on yahoo messenger.

Then i went to bed. ahhhhh i hear you cry...or morelikely whats that snoring sound. lol

And a website for you. http://www.emmerdale.net - where men are men i think and sheep are sheep. Its on a British soap called Emmerdale. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you and have a good day.

Friday 30th September 2006

Hi people,

Hope you are all well.

Got up at 5:30 and had a shave, tea toast etc and filled in my blog before going to work listening to the Automatic. i like the Monster song a lot. "whats that coming over the hill is it a monster"

Work was fun lol. Got on with getting things done only to find out we were supposede to do 500 folders for health and safety stuff by next Friday...after we moaned lol they will accept 250 a week on Monday.... apparently bosses had been messing around with it and delayed it. Typical, then expecting us to do it last minute not giving a monkeys that we have other work to do. No brains some of these.

Anyways after that I drove to Merry Hill, bought Tiger Wood's Golf for PSP after searching for the cheapest deal.....turned out to be ASDA. Got my mum's voucher for her birthday and a card and some other bits and pieces like House season 1 on DVD. Also bought the Scissor sisters album the first one again apparently gulp!!! Think my work colleague might have it. And I got an Evanesnence CD single to see if I would consider the album. Eventually I drove home getting some diesel and a Birmingham a-z on the way back.

Got home had soup and bread for tea. Eventually spoke to the brother-in-law and then went to play 5 a side footie. The team i was in started well and won but we flagged after 30mins and lost all games after that. :( I did have a few shots on target this time.... none went in though. Then went round my sisters and she had cooked us spag bol :) yum. Eventually left there and drove home and surfed the net for a couple of hours. When I next looked at the clock it was half 12. Then went to bed.

A website for your perusal is http://www.icq.feesch.co.uk - a wesbite for UK members who use the ICQ messaging software. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Have fun and will post again soon.
