Wednesday 29th March 2006

Hi all,

Hope you are all well.

Tuesday. Well another quiet day at work. I did get some joke via email but cant for the life of me remember what it was. When I finished I went home. Didnt do much apart from watch Ready Steady Cook and then walked to university. Took a book back. Went to the lecture which didnt finish till just after half 7. Then walked home via the supermarket. Did a tiny amount of studying before watching CSI on channel 5 and Eastenders on BBC3. What fun. the Mitchell brothers are kicking up a right old fuss over a two-bit crook.

Wednesday. And today, well went to work. Busier today than it was yesterday. All went mostly well. Saw the Dunnock sitting on top of a bush, a thrush and a pair of pied wagtails on my bank. Wish i hadnt chucked me camera in the boot as I was leaving. Someone sent us some joke stuff, like a boys night out contract written by a woman. lol Then drove to my sister's to drop off my niece's birthday present but they werent in so I came back home and went round later. Had a little bit to eat. Watched a bit of telly and tidied up some of the articles for my uni work. All good fun.

Love life still dead.

Maybe we might have a general election this year in the UK. Here's hoping.

Anyways a website. http://www.freearcade.com - shame the free xbox offer means trying to sign up for something first. As you can guess its free games. Let me know what you think of this site.

Monday 27th March 2006

Hi People,

Well spring is finally arriving here in the UK. The weather is certainly warmer, windier and wetter at the moment.

Today I have been to work. I was on earlies today. Still it was relatively easy and had to visit one of our suppliers. Nice looking lady works there. :) well it made the trip worthwhile i suppose.

As for the rest of the day, came home, read my email, snacked a little before going to university for a tutorial. I know what i have to do know. Walked home. Been on my PC apart from when I watched Eastenders. I actually managed some studying and read one article and ten pages of one my old text books. Hope it helps.

As for the love life, dead.

Hi People,

Well its been a quietish day.

Got up this morning with the intention of doing lots of studying. Errr no. Went to the supermarket, spent more than I intended. Birthday cards, cat litter and a shirt. Yep had to buy a shirt cause I dont have many that fit my neck at the moment....i think. Came home put it all away then went round me mums. We all went out for mother's day dinner at the Oakley Country Club near Brewood nr Wolverhampton. Had better in a pub. It was a bit disappointing. For that price, I could have had a full shank of lamb in a Welsh pub in the Brecon Beacons.
Came back home, and have been partly studying and watching TV and doing washing of clothes, ironing a little and updating my blog :) Still no woman though :(

The Commonwealth games are over for another 4 years. That reminds me smug git blair was on the Commonwealth games show on TV. Why??? he has enough problems over here. Anyways, I switched the tv off.

A website for your perusal is http://www.3dtextmaker.com - this I have added to my favourites list as it may come in handy. Take a look, it offers a bit more than the link suggests. :)

Let me know what you think.

Thank you and have fun.

Saturday 25th March 2006

Hi all,

Well another day. It is the weekend.

Stuck in on a Saturday night again. Dont mind really.

I have been to Merry Hill shopping for presents today. Took one my brother's with me. Got some Satin photo paper as it looks better sometimes than glossy. Got all the presents sorted out. Went into Pizza Hut for dinner. Thats about it really. Came home. Checked the football results, local team lost 3-1 and I didnt win the lottery. Oh well.

Didnt manage to get any of my coursework done today. Still there is always tomorrow.

Still feeling a bit down on the lack of woman front.

As for a website today try, http://www.camcorderinfo.com - a website reviewing camcorders.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you and have fun.

Friday 24th March 2006

Hi people,

Its been a quiet week. I have been forgetting to update my blog this week. Need cheering up. Think the ex-gf who wanted to see me isn't interested in me any more.

Anyways:

Saturday: A quiet day, think I went to the supermarket. Did a little bit of studying in amongst watching the end of the Six Nations Rugby championship. What a corker of a final day with the last three matches. Wales played good almost back to their best but still lost to a last ditch effort by France(who won the 6 nations). Scotland and Italy played well and I think Italy could stand a chance next year if they learn to kill games off. And as for England and Ireland, well what a match. Ireland started the scoring. England came back and then England did a near collapse in the second half. The Irish scored a last minute try to gain the Triple Crown. :)

Sunday, Another quiet day. Decided to get out. Took my camera and went for a walk up the Wrekin near Telford. Apparently there is a burger van now at the bottom. Took a few photos on the way up and on the way down. Had a sausage and egg sandwhich when i got down. Came home. Did some studying i think and then had a roast chicken dinner I cooked myself. :)

Monday: Work, on days. Fairly steady. Nothing much ado. Didnt go to uni. Came home, read my emails and thats it really. Tried a bit of studying including a look at my presentation for the following day.

Tuesday: Work on days. Fairly steady today. Was at work slightly earlier due to the health and safety committee meeting which i sit on. It lasted just over 3 hours including a practical office check. Still at least I had a bacon sandwich :) Got back to the office and had a fairly static afternoon. Then went to university. Did my presentation first. Ouch!!! I forgot what i was going to say half the time and was very nervous. The question from the lecturer didnt help. I couldn't exactly turn round and told him the paper i was referring too was boring beyond belief. I did ten minutes I think which is just about. The bloke after me did 20mins and I was bored shiteless within 1minute. Yawn. Think i just scraped a D but thats about it. Felt really down about it afterward. Talked to one of my fellow students on the way out just discussing what is left to do. Came home and watched a bit of telly.

Wednesday. A relatively easy day. Spent an hour in a department meeting. Went with my work colleague to go see a couple of cars. Came home at the end of the day. Bored and feeling down again.

Thursday: Another fairly easy day. Got everything done as usual. Still on days. Mum dropped my brother off and I had to go have a word with her while i was making my tea. Only today realised Mothering sunday is this weekend.

Friday. Very quiet at work today. Had to go across the canteen for lunch. Saw the Thrush again at work. Can't tell which one it is. Why is it i never have my camera when i want it. :( Anyways, came home then went round my mums for a tea. Two of my brothers were round there and my sister two. Quite a full house. My half-brother wants me to take him and his mate to Alton-towers for his birthday....I will think about it. Been to the supermarket. Got the card and some cat food.

Am a bit fed up at the moment. There doesnt appear to be a woman who wants to be part of my life at the moment. Feel like staying in bed all weekend.

Friday 17th March 2006

Hi People,

Yesterday forgot to mention that my name was in my company's paper. :) About a photo competition and I had submitted on already. I havent won it just entered it before the competition officially started.

Well another week of work has finished. It has been very quiet today. Was on my own for three hours as my colleagues were out on a sort of business trip. My turn in a few days. Then IPEX. :) Had a sandwich from the canteen for breakfast. then had pasta from the canteen for lunch, with a hot pudding. Which i liked so as my colleague had returned and was going across I got him to get me another helping. Wish the switchboard were a little more honest with their words. Visitors is not the same as a visitor. I had one visitor. When they rang to say he was in reception they said visitors, well for my boss who had not arrived yet. Its puzzling when you aint expecting anyone.

Came home, let the cats out into the back garden for 4 hours. Seem not to want to go to far. Had pasta for tea. Texted my brother-in-law to say I wasnt playing footie. Sore eyes, and knees and ankle joints werent feeling the best.

Thought: Is it possible we could be having a general election this year?

Thought2: Why do mobile phone companies rip us off?

If you have any answers or thoughts let me know.

And a website: http://www.mattfacer.com/fridge - a site that lets you creat messages that you can send using virtual fridge magnets. It is an easy site to use.

Thursday 16th March 2006

Hi all,

Well its been another quiet day.

Got up this morning, had a shower, some toast, made my lunch then went to work. This was also after cleaning up cat sick. Work was a fairly steady day with the usual mix of users who require jobs doing that require a bit of faffing to get them to work. My colleague was in for half a hour then went off to lunch with the Blood donor people and a another work colleague. He still hadnt returned by the time i had finished. There is another Australian working within the company I work for in this country. This kind of bemuses me, as I thought their country was better than this one. I mean who would swap warm weather for cold, damp snowy weather. Still....

When I finished work i came straight home to find one of the cats had crapped underneath my computer desk. I kicked em out the back door and shut the door this time. They didnt seem to want to venture far. They will have to learn they cant stay in all the time.

As for a website. Do you have a football team? If so you may want to add it to http://www.web-teams.co.uk

Take a look and let me know what you think of the site.

Thank you and have fun.

Wednesday 15th March 2006

Hi People,

Tuesday: Work - quiet to start with. I had to do an hours overtime to sort out some work I had started. Nearly deleted a page off the intranet. Fortunately my change was not verified. Came home with the intention of walking to uni. I ended up driving by the time I sorted out all my bits and pieces. Went to uni, suffered two presentations, got one to do myself next week....Gulp!!!! Sat through the lecture. Learned, that the amount per text message on a mobile phone is actually 100% profit. 3G on mobiles is not really 3G and i-mode has been around for years. Still nice to now the americans were six years behind with mobile technology.

And today: Work was fairly steady. Got away on time. My colleague and his family are searching for a caravan at the moment for holidays. Came home and just messing about on my PC at the moment. Got some studying to do. Wish I had a caravan to go to this weekend and get away from all the distractions of the house, like TV, internet, game consoles.... Anyways.

Point of View: Wolverhampton eye infirmary - should have a fully functioning new state of the art centre(including research facilities) built on Wolverhampton's science park as it serves over three-quarters of a million people.

Website: http://www.mariaclaudiacortes.com - actual title is Colour in Motion. Contains movies about different colours. I think they are flash movies. Takes a while to get into the site. Really need broadband for this one.

Monday 13th March 2006

Hi all,

Today, I have done something i didnt expect to do. I split from my gf. It was hard, because i wasnt sure how to tell her. I hadn't seen her for nearly a month and that was only two weekends since christmas. She suspected I hadn't been happy lately. She didn't take it as bad as all the other times we have tried. But it was more I had had enough gently. I had a big emptiness in me this weekend that her not being there couldn't fill. It was physical compassion i was missing and she hasnt given me any of that lately. I felt i needed it this weekend and was very empty.

As for the rest of my day, I have been to work and uni. My work colleague is considering getting a caravan. Might be useful for him and is family. Went to the tutorial at uni and found i needed to narrow my focus a bit. Did a little bit of work on the resume that has to be in tomorrow too.

Sunday 12th March 2006

Hi all,

Well its a quiet Sunday, just off to the uni's Telford campus where it should be quiet enough to get my studying done to hand in on Tuesday. I have a major headache at the moment, think i banged it on my headboard. My eyes are sore too.

As for the girlfriend front, its d day the end of this week coming. Think i may have upset the ex-gf somehow. I can only think that if I do end the relationship with my current gf this week(whom i havent seen for 4 weeks) then I shall be back to being totally single. Very depressing.

Hopefully I can get this 2 page resume for my presentation done today.

A website - http://www2.warnerbros.com/batman - the homepage for the Batman movie. Take a look and let me know what you think. Looks very dark on first viewing.

And if anyone can solve my Microsoft Train Simulator issues let me know.

Have fun and let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Saturday 11th March 2006

Hi all,

Well it has been quiet today. I walked to the supermarket, did one lot of washing. And a tiny bit of studying inbetween watching the rugby on the telly. Must lay off the caffeine. My local football team won. Phew!!!

All in all quiet. Having said that its forecast to snow tonight. So it will be cold tomorrow. Brrrrrrr!!!

A website for today is: http://www.misterprivacy.com - apparently it allows anonymous surfing to protect you from internet threats.

Hi People,

Well it has been a quiet week this week A comment posted to my blog contained the following weblink. http://www.westmidlandbirdclub.com/westmidlands/sandwell/index.htm - Please take a look. You maybe surprised a little.

Wednesday: Busyish day at work. Nothing new really occured that day. Been trying to reload MSTS and its addins one by one to find out which one is causing me the problem. Turned out to be the London-to-Brighton addin where it went wrong. Oh well. Back to the drawing board. Came home, watched a bit of telly. Nothing interesting happened. sob!!!

Thursday: A quieter day at work. One woman said she'd pop round to the office in half an hour. Turned out to be 6 hours. I supressed the sarcy comments when she did pop round to the office. Again another quiet day. Nothing interesting happened. Came home, had beans on toast for tea. Watched some telly. First half of a footie game and Hotel Babylon. Forgot House was on channel 5. Printed off uni articles at work when i remembered. Nearly didnt get out on time due to doing something for our technical dept. Still its all good fun, discussing computers. lol

Today: Even quiet today. The woman that popped round to the office, sent the files for the job she had for us. This is the second time I have had to solve a problem she had created with her spreadsheet when it was merged into a letter. It was a blank column that didnt seem blank that was the problem. Internal customers(i mean work colleagues)....helppppp!!! lol

Politics. Politicians in the UK should understand the word motorist and realise trains dont go everywhere and buses dont run when you want them too. In fact on Sunday its so bad you have to use the car.

And the website for today: http://www.videolan.ord/vlc - take a look, i think its some kind of media playing tool.

Let me know what you think. Thank you.

Have fun.

Tuesday 7th March 2006

Hi all,

Well another day. Nearly half way through the week.

Monday: Quiet eay day at work. On earlies cause work colleague on holiday today. Got home, went to university where I did some research for the topics I am looking at for some coursework. Had to use a disability desk because the screen resolution on the normal PCs and the helpdesk person had to change the one on the disability desk so I could use it. What fun. Didnt go to the tutorial. Walked home via the supermarket for contact lens solution which they had sold out of. Had to go to a chemist's I knew was open. Got a smile off the female security guard.

Today: Another steady half day at work. Was in at 8am and finished by 12pm. Had to go to Coventry's NHS eye unit for my annual eye check up for Keratoconus and contact lenses. Was told ok but the lenses will probably have to be changed next year. Had two cornish pastys while in Coventry. Got back to the railway station and missed the train by a couple of mins. Had to wait a hour for the next one. What a palava, so much for this government wanting us to use public transport. grrrr!!!!

Website: http://www.bubbles.org - its for people at school and is more of a learning resource including an homework help.

Sunday 5th March 2006

Hi people,

Well its been a fairly static sunday. Today I have been doing a little studying, watched a little telly and been round to my mums to see the rest of the family as its my sister's birthday tomorow. Thats it really today.

Thought of the day; How blind does a woman have to be to her husband's(tessa jowell) finances. Ermmm, she is not telling the truth, she can't be. She should go.

As for a website; http://www.hkfringe.com.hk/english/index_eng.asp - a website for the Hong Kong fringe club or something like that. Its to do with the arts anyway. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Saturday 4th March 2006

Hello again,

Now for the last week.

27 Feb 2006 - On earlies at work this week. Oh woh is me. lol I dont mind. Only later in the the week when it gets harder to get up. Anyways a steady day at work. Then home, finish off the chicken i cooked yesterday, with some oven chips. Of course attended Uni, relatively easy lecture and a short tutorial. No more lectures for this subject as such but we have to do tutorials every week for the next 5 weeks and then the presentations start. Took PC to work to have it looked at. PC engineer had a look, fortunately for me he took the fan and heat sync out and found the processor had dislodged. He rescued it and now my PC works again. Phew!!!

28 Feb 2006 - Well work was quiet today. A bit too easy. Went home, then uni which was normal. It was easy. Didnt have to go to the tutorial. Nearly forgot where I parked me car. Finished installing everything back onto my computer. :)

1 Mar 2006 - Went to work today, very busy. Finished early cause of my the appt for my eye check up. Drove home, then got my work colleague to drop me off at the eye infirmary. It was an hour and half before I saw the doc. She had to deal with a someone having a heart attack 1st. Then a couple of people in front of me. Having said that, she was greek i think and very very cute. :) Best looking doctor I have ever seen. I had to then wait 20mins for the eye drops to widen my pupil and then she could look at the back of my eye. Did that all done and discharged. Then walked home via the supermarket.

2 Mar 2006 - work - strange day. Many things delayed by a few hours. then the flood. Drove home, and..... its started snowing lightly but as I neared home which is 3 miles from work it hammered it down with snow. In 40minutes we had two inched of snow. :) Good for the gf cats as they use it as a litter tray rofl. Talking to the ex-gf who i want to be my long-term current gf eventually. Still havent seen her yet though she wants me to be single 1st which is fair enough.

3 Mar 2006 - Work, again not so busy as the previous day but still plenty to do. Played 5 a side football last night. Lost all but one of our games. We just couldnt score, we had plenty of chances though. Good to be back indoors. Went back round me sister's after tea, chilli and rice, yum yum. Watched Mock the week and drove home, taking care and going very slow round Goodyear's island where I went for a spin the other week.

Today: Its been quiet today. Been studying a bit. Went to the supermarket and got a birthday card for my sister. Just about to do my tea. Sausage casserole with mustard mash. :)

A website: http://www.info.gov.hk/eindex.htm - another one about Hong Kong although it a government site and probably heavily biased in favour of the Chinese government. Think they should try local democratic elections myself. Think with so many people in that country, that while, for democracy they should have a say in who runs there country, it would be too mammoth a task trying to run a general election there. The government and officials should be more interested in cracking down on corrupt officials rather than persecuting dissidents.

Anyways thats enough from me today. Let me know what you think.

Have fun.

Saturday 4th March 2006 Part A

Hi people,

Its been a while. My computer suffered a malfunction which took em a week to put right. Don't forget you can use the RSS feed thingy to see if I have updated my blog. RSS works best in Firefox I find.

Anyways;

20th Feb 2006 - On days that day at work. If i remember right, I finished work about half hour earlier and made a dash to the local eye infirmary casualty department to get my eye looked at. Got there with five minutes to spare. Was suffering photophobia. after nearly two huors i was seen by a nurse, who said that it was nothing to do with my black eye, but it was caused by ingrowing eye lashes. she duly removed them from my left eye and gave me an ointment to use for a few days, but i couldnt keep my contact lens in my left eye for a week. I missed university tonight because of having to go to the eye infirmary.

21st Feb 2006 - On days again. This time i managed to make it to uni. Also trying to get a module result published that hadn't appeared online. Uni was different as it was more a tutorial session than a lecture. Still I was able to discuss my coursework and what i could do with the lecturer. Hard drive arrives for PC. Try to install it, but PC suddenly doesnt work. Stumped.

22nd Feb 2006 - Still on days. Work is fairly steady at the moment. Nothing much interesting happened today. Some days are like this. Oh guy from drawing office leaves. I am now repsonsible for intranet pages for admin. :) Yippeee. I can get them altered a little.

23rd Feb 2006 - Well after another steady day at work nothing much to report. Finding studying hard to get my head round. And its not much easier being unable to wear one of my contact lenses.

24th Feb 2006 - Its Friday. Late for work today as I have a check up appt at the eye infirmary. Was there about an hour. Different nurse this time. Guess what??? Different information.... because of my accident playing football, I have to go back on Wednesday next week and be seen by the doctor who will check the back of eye in case there has been any damage. Got to work, quiet day today. Came home and watched telly.

25th Feb 2006 - its the weekend. Spend most of it watching the 6 nations rugby tournament, getting texts from the football. Went into town for something. Cant remember what though. I know i bought some oven chips and cat food. And a couple of Linux magazines from the Whsmiths. Didnt really do much.

26th Feb 2006 - Sunday, quiet, went to the supermarket. Still having trouble, my PC isnt working. No idea. The one with Linux on has no internet connection. It has no driver information for my USB modem. Therefore trying a network card and the ethernet ports.....no luck either. Went into an electrical store that sells computer parts. Nope. Had to go to electronic specialist in town. Cost me £8 and guess what.... still didnt work. :(

As for me and the gf, on a seperation kind of thing. Given it a month. She is depressive and I havent seen her for a couple of weeks now. And she has lost the baby she was carrying. Necer did see the scan photos.

The ex-gf wants me back. And I want her back too. See how this pans out over the next month.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you and have fun. Will post more later today.
