Sunday 30th April 2006

Hi people,

Its been a few days since my last post. The current incompetents in power in the UK have shown how "corrupt" and utterly incompetent they are over the last few days. Still...

Thursday: Got up at 5:30am. I fed the cats as usual and put it outside. They were already outside. Had tea and toast for breakfast. I then went to work after getting dressed and had rather a quiet day. Nothing exciting happened. When i got home i checked my email. I checked the forums to see if they could correct my coursework. I then went to university, taking back some library books and bought a book on Java. Then I drove to Bentley Bridge and the Sports Soccer shop an got some long length shorts, before going to the supermarket almost next door for some salad. Then I went home, had salad for tea and wrote up coursework. I watched House on channel 5. Then let the cats back in, ironed a t-shirt for work and put some clothes to dry.

Friday: I got up at 5:30am, had a shave, fed the cats and put them outside. I had tea, biccies and toast for breakfast. I went to work today and ended up doing an hour and half's overtime, due to a late job I was trying to sort out. I came home via Tyre Sales as I thought the exhaust on my car had gone. It turned out to be the air filter clips had gone. So i came home walked across to the main dealer and ordered some. Came home, read my email, ironed a t-shirt, did one lot of washing and put the dishwasher on. Then let the cats in and went to bed.

Saturday: Got up 5:30am. I fed the cats and got dressed. Then put the cats outside. I drove up to the railway station, got a coffee and caught the 6:50am train to Barmouth changing at Machynlleth. When I arrived in Barmouth I went for breakfast at the Acnhor Restaurant. I then got a bottle of water and went for a walk across the bridge to Artur Bog and back filming and taking photographs as I went. Most turned out to have something on them that they shouldn't have due to something in the camera. Anyways, had fish and chips for lunch from the Mermaid chippy. Took photos of a special train hauled by class 33 locos. Unusual to see loco-hauled train in Barmouth these days. Went for an ice cream and then around town to the gallery and bought a picture. Returned home on late 4:01pm train from Barmouth, including nearly an hour's stopover in Machynlleth. Went to local garage for bottle of water. Paid £6 parking fee, got car and drove home once I got back to Wolverhampton. I dropped off the bags and then drove to ASDA for cat food etc, inc a sandwhich toaster. Once I got home I downloaded all the photos including those from the SD card i bought in Barmouth. Most need fixing. :( I watched CSI NY on channel 5 and then went to bed about 11:30pm.

Today: I got up at 9:30am. Didnt I feel it. Went with my brother and cousin to Merry Hill taking my camera and a picture for Jessops to look at. They just cleaned it out. opened a delayed shutter and found a hair on the sensor, so they cleaned it off and i should have normal picture quality now. Then I bought a cleaning kit and some photo paper. I asked about a lens and they said there was one around £100 but try the other shop as they couldn't find it. So we went round to the other one and they hadn't got one. Dont make it anymore. Anyways they rang the other shop back who then found this lens down the back of a shelf. So had to go back and see it and then bought it but not before buying some photo paper in this store too. We then went for lunch in the Abraham Derby pub, me having lamb shank. yum. Then came home. I then tried to book a ticket to Barmouth online again, but I wasn't happy with the information coming back, after a phone call to a call centre in a far away place I went up to Wolverhampton and not only got my ticket but made sure of the information within a few minutes. I then came home. Watched a bit of telly. Had scrambled eggs on toast for tea. I have let cats in and only a t-shirt to iron for tomorrow.

Phew!!!

Wednesday 26th April 2006

Hi People,

Well its a fun week. Especially in politics. Oh dear. Nurses boo the health mp, the home office mp is on trouble of immigrant prisoners who should have been deported but were let loose. How stupid can you be. Hopefully we get a general election this year and are able to get rid of this bunch of morons.

Anyways my week so far:

Monday: Got up at 5:30am. Had a shave, my breakfast - tea and toast. Fed the cats and put them outside. Went to work, on time and on earlies this week. Seven am start. Found after I got there my PC was switched on. The boss had been using it. Grrr!!! Also found out a colleague from another dept passed away at home last. Had a heart attack at 48 and was basically physically slim. So it was suprising without knowing more. Had to go to the bank after work and sign some forms. Got me £1.30 to park....i swear it goes up every month. Nothing really exciting happened at work, no new job ie pay rise. :( Got home, read my email, had new potatoes, pork and mustard sausages and peas for tea. Then I walked up to university and had to sit through four presentations. Was only expecting one. I came home, tried to log on to resource via university library only it didnt work, so i drove up to the uni to get some library books on java. Came home and tried to do programming coursework in java. Ended up in bed at 12:30am.

Tuesday: Got up 5:30am. Had toast and tea for breakfast after having a shower. Fed cats and put one outside. Couldn't find the other one. Nothing exciting happened at work today either. Just more of the same. When I left I went straight home and tried working on my coursework. Then I walked to university and worked on it some more. Spoke to the lecturer, who mentioned something called winsock and vb.net. Then left university and walked home via the supermarket and got some cat food, satsumas, and orange jammy dodgers oh and some bread. I watched CSI on channel 5. Read my email, ironed t-shirt for work and let the cats back in. Had bad case of wind at uni and on the walk back. Had potatoes, sausages and peas for tea. Went to bed at 10:30pm and slept for 6 straight hours, unbelievably. :)

Today: Got up at 5:30 am and had a shave. I fed the cats and put them outside. And then cleaned up the cat sick off the carpet and off the kitchen floor. Had tea and toast for breakfast, made my packed lunch. Then got dressed and drove to work. It was a normal Wednesday really. Then on way home stopped off at bank to speak to advisor who was on lunch(at 3pm?) so went to the uni library checked out some books re the lecturer last night but to no avail. Went into book shop and bought java in easy steps. Then returned to bank for discussion. Working on the comments made. Came home, and read email. Paid bills with loan. Had chips, sausages and beans for tea. Watched a bit of telly. Copied forum response into coursework, just need to get it to work and fix it. I have updated my blog :) Let the cats back in, need to iron a t-shirt for work and booked train ticket to Barmouth on Saturday. Its cheaper than taking the car. But not as quick. Still....

love life: non-existent at the moment.

Sunday 23rd April 2006

Hi People,

Happy St. Georges Day. An English named day to celebrate St. George famous for reportedly slaying dragons.

This is now my 101st post....shock horror. Didnt think I could keep this going.

Friday: I got up 9am. I filled the dishwasher and put it on. Fed the two cats and put them outside. I filled the washing machine and put that on. Rang mortgage centre - and had to wait for them to call me back typical. A couple of hours later I rang them again and still had to wait for them to call me back. Eventually they did, went thtough an application. Fine so far, and put the phone down. Got a phone call a couple of minutes later about something that we missed but had mentioned at the start of the original phone call and now they cant do anything so back to the bank. I read my email. I managed to read British Steam Railways magazine no.1 - about the Mallard...apparently after its 126mph record run, it broke and needed to be hauled back by another train...lol. It has a design anomaly on it, caused by an thumb indent on a plasticine test model. I also watched BSR DVD no 4. I am not feeling very happy today. :(

Yesterday. Got up at 7:15am. Fed the cats and put them outside. Then left around half 8 to pick up my half brother and his mate and take them to Alton Towers. Took an hour to get there surprisingly cause we had traffic jams and the AA's website said 75mins. Lol what a pile. I went on 7 rides with them icluding Air which I like. I got a dodgy stomach after Nemesis which is a first, although I think it may have been partially caused by going on the Ripsaw before it. They spent the afternoon going on the rides they wanted which I didnt mind, including Rita Queen of Speed....only just. I mis read my watch and thought it said 5pm not 4pm. It was only when i thought it was 6 and nothing was closing did I realise. Still they had a good day out. We got to the car at 7pm and it cost me £4 to get out......what a cheek. Traffic jams when we left but once past it took an hour to get them home. I came home dropped off all my bits and then went shopping to the supermarket...my feet were aching at this point. I had a medium cut price just cooked chicken for tea with some bread, half of which went to the cats. I just couldn't finish it. For lunch I had KFC and they had pizza. Got back home, let the cats in. Watched CSI NY on Ch5 and then eventually went to bed.

Today: Got up around 9am. Read a couple of articles from my photography magazines. Fed the cats and put them outside. I actually had myseld a mug of tea in bed before i got up. Read my email and found replies to a forum query to my MSTS add-in pack error. I completed one activity on said add-in pack....hurray at last. lol. Finished reading BSR magzine no.2 Flying Scotsman. Watched BSR DVD No.5. Watched most of Smallville on Freeview. I registered to sites: www.vbforums.com www.vbdotnetforums.com and www.vbcity.com trying to solve a coursework problem. argghhhh!!! Need to start the other one too. Did get a reply so will give it my more fuller attention tomorrow. Let the cats back in. Got to iron clothes for work and then go to bed. Yawn...

Thursday 20th April 2006

Hi people,

Well another couple of days have passed. Been quiet. :(

Yesterday: Got up when the drier was delivered about 8:30am. About time too. I managed to get it upstairs on my own. Its not a heavy thing. Had some toast for breakfast. Went into town in the car as it was chucking it down with rain. Got to the bank, only to find the person i was supposed to see was ill. :( Ended up phoning their mortgage centre getting a couple of quotes all boiled down to in the end getting the redemption figure from a loan company. Had to extend my overdraft to cover the fees. Put one lot of washing in the washing machien and switched it on. This was the first to test the drier. Seems ok. Cats were fed and put outside. Post - one letter from the uni about some lecturers taking industrial action. Bank, phoned em up. Also checked local house prices. Watched on DVD British Steam Railways No.2. After going to town I went later went to the supermarket and spent £23 including a birthday card and the latest Harry Potter film on DVD. Much better than the third. On the way to the supermarket took some polystyrene and cardboard to the tip. Cooked and ate spaghetti bolognese for tea. And thats about it for today.

Today: Got up around 9:15am. Had a shower. Fed the cats and put them outside. Installed some XP updates. I read my email. Waited for redemption fee letter and...didnt turn up, one phnoe call and email later I had the result. I am not happy. The payment protection insurance rebate was only a third of what i had been expecting. I am not happy what a con. Done just a tiny amount of my coursework project. Feeling despondent and unhappy. Watched DVD British Steam Railways No. 3. Put the bin out for the bin men tomorrow. Had spaghetti bolognese for tea and watched House and Grey's Anatomy on channel 5. Oh and Due South on ITV3.

Love life: dead as a dodo and depressing. No fun...feel lifeless.

Tuesday 18th April 2006

Hi all,

Well a fairly quiet start to the week.

Yesterday: I got up around 8:45am, got dressed etc. Then fed the cats and put them outside. I read my email, nothing interesting. I put a load of washing in the washing machine and switched it on. I put it outside to dry when it had finished. I installed some more MSTS add-in packs on the spare PC. I managed to complete one activity. The PC crashed the rest of the time. I also emptied and refilled the dishwasher and put that on. And as it was a bank holiday Monday - no work today. As regards my normal PC I defragged the hard drive. Telly - I watched the Shania Twai live in Miami DVD - I am sure this was heavily cut. Listened/watched a couple of comedy podcasts. For my tea I cooked chicken with mustard mash and brocoli. Then for telly in the evening I watched the Gadget Show and Fifth Gear.

Today: One of my brother's birthday. I got up around 9am. Week off work so no work today...still didnt stop my boss phoning me to ask me something...grrr!!! I put some clothes in the washing machine and put that on. Fed the cats and put them outside in the back garden. I read my email. I finally started my programming coursework. DVD: Watched British Steam Railways No.1. I had a chicken sandwich and a packet of crisps for my lunch. Went to see my brother and give him a card but he wasnt in. Telly: Watched Eastenders and CSI. I did have some post today, a book invoice and a mailshot.

Politics: the NHS what a surprise is in the news. If only the stupid Blair idiot had left it alone it wouldnt have been in the state it is now in...heavily in debt and cutting jobs. Peugot...closing Coventry plant...no surprise given recent events here in the midlands in relation to the car industry.

Love life: dead as a dodo. No-one seem to currently want me and I am totally bored.

Uni: See today. Bored though even though I have quite a bit to do.

Sunday 16th April 2006

Hi People,

Hope you are all well.

Friday: Well being as it is Good Friday, it is a holiday here so no work. I got up at 10am. Tried installing MS Train Simulator on a second PC to see how it runs. Had some problems so posted a question to a forum. I have since got some software that helps solve some of the problems. I also managed to update the comedy podcasts I download. Although I have a massive load to listen too. I went to the chippy for my tea.. pie chips and peas. Watched Tarantino's CSI epispodes on DVD, it was quite good, if perhaps a tad predictable. I also put some washing out to dry, the cats outside in the morning with their food. Just very bored and skint.

Saturday: Technically pay day, paid bills and skint again....same old same old, plus water rates today and for the next 6 months :( I got up today at 8:45am. I fed the cats as usual and put them outside. I went to the local supermarket and spent more than i intended...:( cat litter, washing powder etc etc all add up. Post today were the birthday presents I had ordered and a bill for my brother ha ha. I woke up with a headache. Thought it could be sinuses so took a sudafed. Didnt do anything so tried eye drops, didnt work either and then tried a couple of solpadine dissolvable....improved my head, not fully but still. Installed the Train software that helps with MSTS. Read my email. Not much worth reading. Full the dishwasher and put that on and the same with the washing machine. Still bored and skint. Got dragged down a pub called the Newhampton by my cousin and my brother. Its ok there especially the barmaids lol. I had 3 pints of guinness. Then we walked home and I went to bed. Didnt sleep too well.

Sunday: I got up about half 8. Read an article in each of the Amateur Photographer magazines and Photography Monthly. I fed the cats and put them outside. Put a load of washing in the washing machine. Hung the clothes out I washed yesterday. Went round mum's for Easter lunch of lamb and veg. Had to go via my nan's and pick her up too. Round my mum's I sorted out my half-brother's PC, basically, update the AV and antispyware and configured there email for them. My stepfather's PC had a MSTS add-in pack added and discovered it needs some upgrading. I got a Kit Kat easter egg. Yum yum. Came home and a couple of goes on MSTS and watched a little telly and thats about it.

Apparently the red route is being challenged........yipppeeee!!! Wait and see what happens. although the policiticians seem to forget about the motorists, residents and shopkeepers who live along the Stafford Road in Wolverhampton. And the £3.50 a day, tv and phone, or 49p a minute if you phone a patients bedside phone in hospital is being investigated. Rofl....wait and see what happens with that. Oh and an MP has said the BNP party is gaining lots of disaffected labour supporters......no surprise... the people who actually live in this country are always ignored by the politicians(asylum seekers appear to be treated better than pensioners for example). I dont like the BNP...they are mostly racist. I know one or two who would vote for them though. oh dear.....

Thursday 13th April 2006

Hi all,

Well another day. Got up this morning, had a shower some toast a large mug of tea. Then got dressed and went to work. Work was fairly steady today with the usual mix of stuff that is compulsory and other jobs that are done on the fly so to speak. Came home, opened my post, two of which were from loan companies and one that was a statement and my photography magazine. Watched Doctor who on BBC 3 and thats about it really. Well apart from my Train simulator not working now. :(

Love life: dead and getting depressing. Feel like staying in bed all weekend.

Wednesday 12th April 2006

Hi all,

Well another day.

I got up this morning had a shave, some toast and a large mug of tea. Then went to work after I had put the cats out.

Work was busy today. Loads to do. Had to do a mailmerge type letter which had to be printed a certain way. It was a right pain. Never mind I got it done much to my colleague's relief. Then I had to to town to my bank for my annual review. Or as usual...would you like a loan or add this to this loan.... yawn. Anyways I have to go back next week to see if they cant make my payments cheaper.

Had to ring amazon as I needed to order a couple of birthday presents to see if i would get them for Saturday. Got my 3 MSTS add-in packs today and installed them all. For the one I had to download 300Mb of updates. Ouch!!! My connection handled them well and they were done very quickly.

Only other mail today was some books from World Books...which is ridiculous has I havent paid for the last lot yet. lol

love life: dead still. :( getting a bit fed up.

Tuesday 11th April 2006

Hi all,

Wel Tuesday was a busyish day, especially at work. Got up had a shower this morning. Made my lunch then went to work. It was relatively busy. Finished later than intended and missed my bank appointment as someone wanted a query sorting. Got that done then came home. Got the bank appt tomorrow now. Didnt do much, except go to the shops where there was an xbox bundle on special offer then to the Great Western Pub for a beer. I had a baguette too. Stopped off for kebab on the way back. Now just getting the cats in and ironing my t-shirt for work in the morning then bed.

Love life. still dead.

Me. still not in job thats paid well. My ideal thing would be for someone in HR where i work to spend a day getting to know me and then saying they would help me sort things out.

Monday 10th April 2006

Hi all,

Hope you are well.

Today: I was at work at 7am. It was very busy today and I spent most of it on my own as my boss and colleague went to the IPEX exhibition. Had to drop them off and pick them up. The colour printer broke too. Its now been fixed fortunately. Came home. The cats got kicked out this morning after one of them crapped underneath my computer desk. I only just let em back in. Grrrr!!! Walked into the town mayor earlier too, wanted to stick me foot out and trip him up....the conniving shite!

Love life. Dead. I am skint too(don't mind to a point) but it does mean that should a woman find me lovable she wants me for me being me. :) Having said that being skint knackers your confidence. :( Still... I was thinking of my ideal woman....someone who is bright and full of energy...consistent...and likes to have fun.

Sunday 9th April 2006

Hi all,

Well another weekend over. Quite quiet really.

Friday: Work early. Went to the IPEX exhibition at the NEC. Went with the boss. Looking at printers etc. Got the train down. It was a day out from the office mostly which is always good. Came back, got chauffered from the railway station to the office. :) Then went home and didnt do much.

Saturday: Got up. With the best intentions of making some rock cakes. Unfortunately when I got round to doing them in the afternoon, I hadn't got any baking powder. I also took some rubbish from my back garden to the tip. Then I got dragged down a pub by my cousin and brother i hadnt been in before for a couple of beers. Its an ok pub. Then went to the supermarket, made my brother drive. Got my weekly shopping as such and the elusive baking powder. Then stopped at the chippy on the way home for SF Chicken and chips with curry sauce. Eventually went to bed after falling asleep watchinh telly.

Sunday. Well what a quiet day. Made some rock cakes this morning, with cinnamon in. Emptied and refilled the dishwasher. And completed an activity on the Microsoft Train Simulator. For tea i cooked chicken with horseradish mash and green beans. Yum. Finished the CSI series 4 DVD off. Off to bed in a min.

Love life: quiet, and i have no confidence with it.

Thursday 6th April 2006

Hi people,

It has been a few days.

First the news: Bird flu found in a swan in the UK - over hyped as per usual. Do we look like Corporal Jones from Dad's Army..... don't panic mr mannering... lol. NHS - in debt so cutting jobs, including nurses and doctors. Apparently it wont affect patients....what a pile of manure. Need an election over here, to get some new government in. anyways.

Sunday: Well I went to university around lunchtime. Put a fivers worth of expensive diesel in the car and went to the Telford campus. Ouch them speed bumps lol. Spent 3 hours there working on the presentation I had to do for the following day. Then came home, spent some time on the internet and sometime watching telly.

Monday: Work, relatively busy. My colleague finished early as he was in an hour ealier than normal being on mornings. He managed to sell his car. I had to go drop him off at his dad's so he could borrow one of his parents' cars. After that went straight to university. I did my presentation second. After one on bandwidth. I did my little bluetooth experment. Which worked for my fellow students except me. Presentation seemed to last longer than i thought. Which is good.

Tuesday: Work, busy again today. Uploaded the unsafe acts list to the intranet for the previous month. Easy to do. I like health and safety and believe it should become before profits. Anyways, my colleague today required me to go pick him up from his dad's and then drop him off where he was getting his new car from. I then had to print out an email and take it to him cause he needed proof about the discount they were giving him. Anyways, once work was finished i went to university. No presentations, just a slightly longer lecture than was intended. Still before the next lecture in 3 weeks I have to write a program. :( oh eck!!! hate that. Never mind.

Wednesday: Very busy today. My visiting anywhere today. No mishaps or anything. Went to the supermarket on the way home and thats about it really. All in all quiet. Oh did find out the next door neighbour was training to be an electrician. Should be able to do all his own repairs lol

Thurday: Very busy at work again today. People seem to think I can perform miracles. Of course I can. I am good.....ahem. One girl wanted something printing on a large sheet already folded. errrr no. well that what i thought, but unfolded it and tried it and it worked once i got it sit in the right place on the paper. Oh what fun. Still gives me something to mention. Work colleague finished early today. Running around for his new car cause he needed new bulbs as 3 had blown since he had had it. lol Never mind.

Love life: dead.

And a website. http://www.thisisthelife.com - share great experiences you have had.

Sunday 2nd April 2006

Hi all,

Well another fun week.....not.

Thursday: Well I was on earlies today. Another quiet day at work. Did see the Thrush again although I couldnt make out whether it was of the song or mistle variety. Still got my presentation for next Monday to work on. The woman from Cardiff i was seeing was going to ring me, never did. Been threatening to come back up here.

Friday: Again a quiet day at work. Found out something relatively interesting at work but not discussed here. The love life still is dead though. I really should fill this in every day. I might remember something interesting. Talked the local ex gf. Made lots of charming and warm comments, she went out to see a movie with a mate, well male that wasn't me well tomorrow. :( She wont see me until the Cardiff one is not in the background. Well she isnt really, it just feels like that. She aint been up here since New Year's Day.

Saturday: Well its a quiet day. Been to the local supermarket, spent a tad more than I intended. Didn't chat to anyone. The Cardiff woman hasnt shown up. That is good. The local woman who would like to be my girlfriend hasn't said anything today to me. All in all I am getting frustrated and feel like I am being tortured. Getting to the stage where I feel like I have had enough. Surely there must be a woman out there for me who WANTS to see me now. Football: lost, but so did all the other local teams especially those in the premiership, two of whom are facing relegation....hee hee. As for my uni work. Finding it hard going with all this frustration.
